Summer Food Service Program
Provides good food for your children

FREE healthy meals are served to school age children 18 years or younger and persons 19 or
older with physical or mental disabilities that are enrolled in school.

Children get the foods they need to learn, play, and grow when school is not in session.

I Want to be a Site. What are My Responsibilities?

Must be a non-profit organization

Serve meals to all children 18 years of age and under and persons 19 or older with physical or
mental disabilities that are enrolled in school.
 Complete an application. Application may be found at www.sdpcnutrition.com
 Serve meals that meet the minimum meal pattern requirements
 Provide adequate supervision during the meal service
 Ensure that children eat all meals on site
 Maintain and submit promptly such reports and records that the sponsor requires
 Report to the sponsor any changes in the number of meals required as attendance fluctuates
 Report any other problems regarding the meal services
 Comply with civil rights laws and regulations
 Adhere to local health and sanitation regulations

Attend the SDPC sponsor mandatory training session on May 19, 2015 from 3:00 – 4:00
