The third Lake Tyrrell Star Party will be held on 20-21 March 2015. Lake Tyrrell is the
largest salt lake in Victoria and is notable for its unique geology, flora and fauna.
Couple this with clear and dark night skies and a significant site in indigenous history, and
the weekend promises to offer a range of memorable experiences!

Additional Information:
• Friday night will be a welcome and viewing at the Sea Lake & District Community Centre,
Complex Drive, Sea Lake.
• Saturday lectures and meals will be at the Sea Lake & District Community Centre
followed by a Night Tour at the Lake Tyrrell Viewing Platform starting on dusk.
• You are welcome to bring binoculars and telescopes.
• A chair and/or blanket is advisable for the evening sessions.
• Lake Tyrrell Viewing Platform - The site is accessible by walking 400m on sealed
roadway. Access to vehicles will be restricted on dark.
• As lighting will be restricted after dark, it is suggested that you bring a torch covered
with red cellophane.
• No lasers are permitted except for those used by official presenters.
• In order to comply with Local Law 6, participants are requested not to bring alcohol to
any of the venues.
Please note: There is limited after-hours ATM access within 50 minutes of Sea Lake.
