CELEBRATE EARTH DAY 2015 Once again, the Green Team (AKA Egidio Assante Wealth Management) will be celebrating Earth Day. The event will take place rain or shine from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Egidio Assante Wealth Management, 20 Realty Drive, Cheshire Ct., (203) 439-0732. Documents: Green Team Members will be there to help you unload your sensitive documents. The shredder can take all types of paper; there is no need to remove staples. They will also accept hard or soft cover books. However, binders, binder clips, or any magnetic media (computer disks, x-rays, CD’s) will not be accepted. Food Pantry: We’ll be accepting donations for the Cheshire Community Food Pantry. All donations are appreciated but primary needs are cleaning supplies, laundry detergents especially "Pods" and dishwashing detergent. Always in need are paper products, personal care items, condiments, coffee and tea. Eye Glasses: Do you have eyeglasses around your home that are no longer needed? Drop them off at our Earth Day Celebration. We’ll donate them to our local Lions Club. Pet Food and Supplies: We would be remiss to overlook our best friend. This year we have contacted no-kill animal shelters; the Animal Haven in North Haven, CT and The New Haven Animal Shelter. They were pleased to provide us with a list of items in short supply. Aside from pet food (wet/canned preferred) they will accept pet treats, pet supplies and toys. If possible please avoid chicken and beef based products for dogs. Pet supplies and toys must be clean and in good condition. Come join us in celebrating Earth Day. You’ll be doing something great for the environment as well as helping our neighbors.
