How to reach Varaždin?
Situated it the most Northern part of Croatia near Hungarian and Slovenian border,

Varaždin is easy to reach from various directions both with public and private means of
transport.
By plane
Getting to Varaždin is possible by arriving either in Zagreb International airport
(Croatia), Ljubljana International airport(Slovenia) or Budapest International Airport
(Hungary) yet far best public transport connections are from the Zagreb International airport
“Pleso”.
Getting to Zagreb by air is easy, with many airlines operating on daily basis. Zagreb

Taxi
Taxi service is available for hire at the taxi stand located outside the Airport Arrivals
Building. It will take you approximately 20 Euros to get to the Central Bus Station in Zagreb

From the central bus station in Zagreb, Varaždin is easily accessible with regular lines
that on hour-basis connect Zagreb with Varaždin, it takes less than an hour to reach it. If you

From Budapest (HU) approx. 280 km, highway E71 to Varaždin (exit for Varaždin –
approx. 30 km from border-cross Goričan/Letenje).
From Ljubljana (SLO) approx. 180 km, highway A1/E57 (exit for Varaždin –
approx. 30 km from border-cross Dubrava Križovljanska).
From Belgrade (SR) approx. 450 km, highway E70 (border-cross Lipovac), E70/A3
until knot Ivanja-Reka (exit for Varaždin), then take A4/E65/E71 to Varaždin

Hotel Turist is easily accessible and provides free parking for all guests of the Hotel. It
is located in a quiet environment, only a few minutes walk from the centre of the old town,
300m from the bus station and few minutes drive from railway station. Hotel provides its own
parking lot which accepts 100 cars and 5 busses.

By train
Varaždin is reachable from Zagreb also by train over railway-knot Koprivnica, yet the
