Travelling by bus from Delhi- In case you prefer to travel by public transport, you
need to catch a bus at the Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT), Kashmiri Gate, Delhi or from Dhaula
Kuan, Delhi.
Direct buses to Pilani are frequently available from Delhi (ISBT, Kashmiri Gate). It takes
about 4 hours by taxi and 6 hours by bus from Delhi to reach Pilani.
From Delhi (via Bhiwani-Rohtak or via Dadri-Jhajjar)
This bus route brings you directly to Pilani. The bus takes 5.5 hours to reach Pilani from
Delhi. There are no bus between 5.00 pm and 10:00 p.m.. The last bus is only at 10:00 p.m..
From Sarai Kale Khan(Hazrat Nizammudin) (via Narnaul-Singhana-Chirawa)
This bus route requires changing bus at Chirawa for Pilani. Chirawa is 16 kms away from
Pilani. The total bus journey is about 5.5 hours by this route. The appropriate buses are those
that leave Delhi from ISBT (Sarai Kale Khan) or from Dhaula Kuan (which is about 5 Km from
Airport) for Jhunjhunu/Churu/Sikar. The bus frequency is about every half-hour.
Travelling by train from Delhi:
Trains from Delhi Sarai Rohilla railway station to Loharu (24 km from Pilani) take about
3 hours. Check the railways time-table for train timings for your day of journey. You will have to
book your tickets from Sarai Rohilla Railway station to Loharu Railway Station.
At Loharu, taxi will be made available to make you reach CSIR-CEERI, Pilani.
