This unit is about preparing the jack-up barge for an
operational assignment offshore. It is about ensuring that
the jack-up barge is suited to the task it has been procured
to carry out, that it is appropriately equipped with staff and
supplies and that its systems are in working order.

This unit is relevant to barge masters and offshore
installation managers with overall responsibility for the jackup barge while it is offshore

operating manual

2.6 Check that ancillary equipment is in working order
