Financial planning for retirement can be tough. If you
have equity in your home & are 62 or older, a reverse
mortgage might help you improve your retirement.

“A lot of us are divorced or widowed.
This just gives us something to do,” says
Gale Smith, 70, during a recent Saturday
night dinner at Della’s. “When my husband
died, I wanted to get out and meet people.”
Roger Scheusner, 70, also was looking to
fill a void.
“I was married for 35 years and my wife
died a little over a year ago,” he says. “I sat
around for awhile feeling sorry for myself,
and then more or less I signed up for everything I could find.”
Though the group is not intended to be a
place for singles to “hook up,” some of the
men and women have paired off, says Bauer,
who is now dating club member Barbara
Gurschke.
