Mersey Care NHS Trust How to get to Maghull Site Maghull is 10 miles from the city of Liverpool, and is well served by motorways, main roads and by rail. Departments on this site include: Ashworth Hospital, Human Rescources, and Trust Administration Offices. By road: By Bus: From Liverpool take the A59 towards Preston which leads directly into Maghull and turn right at the traffic lights (Maghull junction) on to Eastway which becomes School Lane. The entrance to Mersey Care’s Maghull Site is on the left hand side approximately 11/2 miles along this road, 100m before the M58 junction. Arriva bus numbers 350* and 351* run from Liverpool to the site from Monday to Saturday, until late afternoon. CMT bus numbers 210* and 250* replace this service and also provide a Sunday service. All buses leave from Queen Square bus station in Liverpool and stop outside the entrance. From other parts of the country: it is easily reached by the motorway network. Leave the M6 at Junction 26 and join the M58 as far as junction 1. Head towards Maghull and the hospital entrance is on the righthand side as you leave the M58 roundabout. * When making arrangements to travel by bus we recommend you call the bus service information line to confirm specific bus times. Airports: There is ample car parking available. Including disabled bays in every area. Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Manchester International Airport are within easy travelling distance. Liverpool Airport has regular bus links into the city centre for onward transport. Taxis are available for the 15 mile journey. Manchester Airport has a direct rail link to Liverpool Lime Street station for onward transport. By Rail: Useful Telephone Numbers: Maghull is 10 miles from Liverpool's Lime Street station which offers mainline and connecting services to all parts of the country, including Maghull. From Lime Street station take the underground Central line one stop to Central Station. Then take the Northern Line Ormskirk train which stops at Maghull.
