How to find the Cicely Saunders Institute from Airports Cicely Saunders Institute, Bessemer Road, Denmark Hill, London SE5 9PJ Contact: Academic Team: 0207 848 5516 or Clinical Team: 0203 299 4060 The Cicely Saunders Institute is based on the Denmark Hill campus of King’s College London, and although it does not have its own tube station, it is easily accessible from two National Rail train stations; Loughborough Junction, which is a ten minute walk away and Denmark Hill, which is a 5 minute walk away. Both are in Zone 2 of the London Transport System and you can find walking directions from these stations at the bottom of this page. From Luton Airport: Take the shuttle bus to Luton Airport Parkway, and take the First Capital Connect service to Sutton, calling at Loughborough Junction. From Gatwick Airport: Take the First Capital Connect train to Bedford, changing at Blackfriars for either the First Capital Connect service to Sutton, calling at Loughborough Junction, or the First Capital connect Service to Sevenoaks, calling at Denmark Hill. From Heathrow Airport – Terminals 1-3 & 5: Take the Heathrow Express Train to London Paddington. From here, take the Hammersmith & City or Circle line of the London Underground Eastbound to Farringdon, where you can get the First Capital Connect service to Sutton, calling at Loughborough Junction. From Heathrow Airport – Terminal 4: Take the Heathrow Express Train to Heathrow Terminals 1-3, and then follow directions as above. From Stansted Airport: Take the Abellio Greater Anglia Service to London Liverpool Street. From here, take the Hammersmith & City, Circle or Metropolitan line of the London Underground Westbound to Farringdon, where you can get the First Capital Connect service to Sutton, calling at Loughborough Junction. London City Airport: Take the DLR towards Bank, changing at Canning Town, to take the Jubilee line of the London Underground Northbound towards Stanmore / Wembley Park. Change at Canada Water for the London Overground Service to Clapham Junction (Westbound), calling at Denmark Hill. Directions from Loughborough Junction Station: Exit the station onto Coldharbour Lane and turn left towards Camberwell Green. The 6th turning on the right is Cutcombe Road. Walk up Cutcombe Road, past the Weston Education Centre (WEC) on the right hand side. Shortly after the WEC there is a turning off to the right where you will see the Cicely Saunders Institute in front of you. Directions from Denmark Hill Station: Turn right out of the station onto Champion Park*. At the bottom of Champion Park turn right onto Denmark Hill. Walk down Denmark Hill towards King’s College Hospital. On the other side of the road after the hospital there is a turning on the left for Bessemer Road. Continue straight down Bessemer Road, where at the end of the road you will find the Cicely Saunders Institute. It is a new building and the sign is red.
