We are dedicated to keeping you on the road…safe, secure and smiling. This certificate outlines the benefits of your roadside assistance program. How to Use Your Membership Benefits The most important element of Consumers Edge Roadside Assistance is your Member ID Number. You will need this number when using many of your Membership services and benefits. Your Membership Certificate also carries the toll‐free Customer Service and Emergency Dispatch Service number. Call anytime, day or night, if you need roadside service or just have questions regarding your benefits. Plan Type The plan type as identified on the cover page attached to this membership guide will, along with the wording of this membership guide, determine your benefits under the plan. Should you have purchased a Single Vehicle Plan, coverage under this membership will apply strictly to the vehicle for which it was purchased. Should you have purchased a Family Plan, coverage under this membership will apply to any vehicle being driven by a member of the household of the registered member. For the purposes of this plan a household member is defined as a spouse or dependent child under the age of 21 currently residing within the home of the member. Members who have Standard plan coverage will benefit from any tow related coverage up to a maximum of 50 miles. Those members who purchased Preferred coverage will benefit from any tow related coverage up to a maximum of 100 miles. Should the Member have purchased the Additional RV coverage, said coverage under this membership will apply strictly to the RV for which it was purchased and all tow related coverage will be for a maximum of 100 miles. Emergency Roadside Assistance Services When you need roadside assistance, call our toll-free number and we will send help. This 24-hour number is the only one you need to know. We will dispatch a service provider to you for the following services (up to your benefit limit): Towing – to the nearest repair facility or a destination of your choice subject to your Plan Type limitations. Battery Jump Start Fuel Delivery (up to 2 gallons) Flat Tire Change – with your inflated spare (If a good spare is not available, or you have more than one flat tire, towing will be provided) Locksmith Service ‐ if you lock your keys inside your vehicle (the owner will be required to present proper identification at the time lockout service is provided). By accepting our services, you have indicated that you understand this and give your consent to any such monitoring or recording regarding any telephone calls you may have with us. Member Coverage Information Membership is intended to cover emergencies and is not intended to be a substitute for proper vehicle maintenance or repair. Repeated calls which are considered excessive may, at the discretion of United States Auto Club, Motoring Division, Inc., result in cancellation of membership. Your membership entitles you to (3) covered incidents per 12 month period. Services in excess of the maximum allowed can be dispatched at the member’s expense. Requirements for Coverage The registered member must be with the vehicle at the time of disablement and must provide proper identification and proof of membership to the service provider upon request. To receive your 24‐hour emergency roadside benefits, YOU MUST CALL THE TOLL FREE NUMBER PROVIDED. In the event we cannot locate a service provider, you will be provided instructions to submit your paid receipt for reimbursement up to your benefit limit. Items Covered 1. Service calls: delivery of gasoline, lockout service, battery jump‐start or flat tire change (one per incident) 2. Towing of your disabled vehicle (one tow per incident) Items Excluded from Coverage: 1. Parts, replacement keys, labor, tire repair, rental or towing equipment, storage fees or any labor performed at a garage or service facility. 2. Trucks over one‐ton capacity, taxis, vehicles used for commercial purposes, camping or travel trailers, mobile homes or any unit in tow. 3. Any form of impound towing or towing assistance by a private citizen, or someone other than a licensed service station or garage. GEN-1872(1211) Membership Agreement This membership represents your agreement with United States Auto Club, Motoring Division, Inc. (USAC/MD). All of these benefits are available in the United States. You will not be required to pay any sum in addition to your membership fee for any service thus specified up to the benefit limit of your program. Your club membership begins on the date you are enrolled, and services will be provided until either party notifies the other of cancellation. (For California residents: Your club membership may be cancelled at any time by either party. The unused portion of your current membership fees will be refunded to you on a pro‐rated basis upon cancellation without any deductions.) This handbook constitutes your membership contract. The benefits of your membership are described in this handbook. Your family membership includes coverage for the primary member, spouse and all other licensed drivers in your family, including children up to the age of 21 living at the primary member’s address. *Not applicable to Utah or Wisconsin residents. Any changes to your contract will not take effect until 60 days after notice to you is given. If we decide not to renew your membership, our benefits and services will continue until 60 days following your written notification of nonrenewal. Should you fail to pay your motor club membership fee, we will notify you in writing that your benefits will be suspended 10 days following such notification.
