The guide will provide information about the Conservation Center, Curbside Recycling, Hazardous Waste disposal and Bulky Waste disposal. Please retain this information which also includes your new 2013 Recycling Schedule. Conservation Center The Cranford Conservation Center, located at 210 Birchwood Avenue, can be used by residents to recycle yard waste, brush, glass, aluminum, electronics, steel, plastic and paper. The Center also accepts used motor oil and oil filters. However, while you do need to purchase a Yard Waste Permit to drop off certain home generated yard debris, there are numerous recyclables that can be brought to the Center that do not require a permit. See the Recycling Guide on the following pages for more information on what can and cannot be recycled at the Conservation Center, and the methods to do so. Also, please note the Center’s hours of operation since the days and hours change depending on the season. How To Obtain a Yard Waste Permit Residents can purchase a permit in one of three ways: at the Center, through the mail or by visiting the Cranford Health Department, 8 Springfield Avenue.
