INTRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION
The Architectural Committee of RiverRidge Homeowners Association has
adapted a color board of approved exterior color schemes from the Fairways
Homeowners Association and is provided herein. The intent of this color board
is to offer homeowners a menu of color options yet retain a consistency of color
genre to ensure we meet the intent of the HOA Conveyances, Covenants, and
Restrictions (CCRs), and our Architectural Rules.
These color schemes have been developed by a paint color expert at
Dunn-Edwards Paint Company, with the assistance of the RRF color committee.
The Directors of RRHOA have adopted the color schemes.
There are two different books you may borrow and use to help with your paint
color decisions. The New Palette Color Scheme books contain only the new
colors. The legacy color schemes are in the complete Color Schemes binders.
Contact a member of the Architectural Committee to borrow either of the color
scheme books. Ted H We need to discuss if we want to separate the info or keep it all in one
document.
When you choose paint colors for your home, you must use the colors from one
color scheme. Mixing and matching of colors from different color schemes will
NOT be approved.
EXPLANATION
A RiverRidge Homeowners Association Architectural Modification Request must
be approved BEFORE any painting is done.(Copies of this form are available e
RRHOA website http://www.riverridgehoaonline.com/documents/architecturalrequest.pdf
or from our manager Condominstration). The RRF Architectural Review Committee
requires that color chips be attached to the application when submitting a request for painting.
To clarify the approved colors, the Board has listed the Dunn-Edwards color names and
codes on the following charts. Schemes A thru K are the fresh modern color schemes.
Schemes 1 thru 23 are the older colors. Since over the years paint color names and
numbers have been changed, the charts will help you to identify the correct colors. The
paint colors from 1987 are numbered 1 thru 16. The paint colors from 1995 are
numbered 17 thru 23. These 1995 colors have been updated with the addition of
optional accent colors.
HOW TO USE THE CHARTS OF LEGACY COLORS
The 1988 paint color chart lists the name of the color, the old number of the color, the
current number of the color (if available) and how to locate that particular chip on the
rack in a Dunn-Edwards paint store. When you see "n/a" on the chart that means there
is no current chip of that exact color, although the store can always mix that paint for
the customer.
The 1995 paint color chart lists the old number, the current number of the color (if
available) and how to locate that particular chip on the rack in the Dunn-Edwards paint
store. The optional accent colors have only new numbers since they are all current
colors and have just been added to the color schemes.
Be sure to obtain an actual color swatch for final selection and color matching. Do NOT
rely on the color output of your computer monitors or color printers.
Remember—the front door is NOT to be painted. If the door is looking weather beaten,
sand and refinish with good quality polyurethane. White is NOT an approved color for
your garage door. If you have a new sectional garage door installed, and if it is not in a
color that is part of your home’s color scheme, the new door must be painted one of the
colors of your home’s color scheme.
Dunn-Edwards color names and codes are listed on the following chart. Dunn-Edwards paints do not have
to be used; numbers are provided for informational purposes only. Any paint store will be able to match the
Dunn-Edwards paint colors, so long as you supply the store with the Dunn-Edwards color name and code.

Click on the color name or color/link in the chart below to go directly to the Dunn-Edwards website for your
selected color.
On the website you can search for the color scheme colors by name or color number, using their Perfect
Palete System. After finding your colors, you can compare them online and order color chips.
Each color links to a page on the Dunn-Edwards Web site that features a large swatch of that color. From that
page, you may easily select up to eight different color chips that they will send to you for free by mail.

NOTICE-- The stucco colors for the houses when they were built were color-coat colors from the stucco
company, not Dunn-Edwards paint company colors. Therefore, the color schemes represented in this color book
for the 1988 colors are actually a trim color and an optional accent color. The Committee is working to
determine what the original stucco colors were. In the meantime, the Committee recommends the use of a
stucco color as close as possible to the existing stucco color.
