Proverbs 23:22-25 (NLT)

Listen to your father, who gave you life, and don’t despise
your mother when she is old.

Get the truth and never sell it; also get wisdom, discipline,
and good judgment.
24
The father of godly children has cause for joy. What a
pleasure to have children who are wise.
25
So give your father and mother joy! May she who gave you
birth be happy.

If you refuse to discipline your children, it proves you don't love
them; if you love your children, you will be prompt to discipline them.

The father of godly children has cause for joy. What a pleasure
it is to have wise children. So give your parents joy! May she
who gave you birth be happy.

mother's experience when she is old.

The eye that mocks a father and despises a mother will be plucked
out by ravens of the valley and eaten by vultures.

"Honor your father and mother." This is the first of the Ten
Commandments that ends with a promise. And this is the promise:
If you honor your father and mother, "you will live a long life, full of
blessing."
