How to Establish a Skywatch Camera on QNAP VioStor NVR?

Find camera settings page
If you stay in monitoring page, please select the button ‘system configuration’
and go to ‘system configuration’ page.
After you enter the system configuration page, please select the tab ‘camera
settings’ for relevant configurations.

Camera Configuration
Please follow the steps below to configure the IP cameras.

Select a camera number. (Channel)
2.
Select the camera brand “Skywatch”
3.
Select the camera model.
4.
Enter the camera name.
5.
Enter the IP address or domain name of the camera.
6.
Enter the user name and the password to login the camera.
7.
Select to enable the recording or not.
8.
Click ‘Apply’ to save the settings.
Note:

All the settings will not take effect until ‘Apply’ is clicked. When applying the
changes, the recording operation will stop for a while (maximum 1 minute) and
then restart.

Click ‘Search’ to search for the IP cameras on the local network. Select a
channel for the IP camera and click ‘Add’ to add the camera. By using the
search function, the camera model and the IP address are filled in automatically.
Click ‘Close’ to close the search results.

Recording Settings
Select a camera on the list and configure the recording resolution, frame rate, and
quality. Enable audio recording, manual recording, recording data retention,
real-time digital watermarking, and auto snapshot settings. Click ‘Apply’ to save
the settings.

Video compression: Choose a video compression format for the recording.

Resolution: Select the recording resolution.
3.
Frame rate: Adjust the frame rate for the recording. Note that the frame rate
of the IP camera may be affected by the network traffic.

Quality: Select the image quality for the recording.

Audio recording (optional): To enable the audio recording, click ‘Enable audio
recording on this camera’.

Manual recording: To allow manual activation and deactivation of manual
recording function on the monitoring page, enable this option.
7.
Enable recording data retention: Turn on this function and specify the
minimum number of days to keep the recording data. Note that the number of
days entered here must be smaller than the maximum number of days to keep
all recordings configured in ‘Camera Settings’ > ‘Advanced Settings’.
8.
Enable auto snapshot: Select this option and the settings will be displayed.
Configure up to 15 schedules for automatic snapshot taking or specify the
number of snapshots (max 60) the NVR should take every hour.
The
snapshots are saved to the share folder of the NVR by default. Specify a
remote server to where the files will be saved.
Read/write access to the
remote server is required.
Note:

Starting and stopping manual recording will not affect scheduled or alarm
recording tasks.

They are independent processes.
All the settings will not take effect until ‘Apply’ is clicked. When applying the

The settings of the snapshot folder are global settings which will be applied to all
the channels.
