How to do a 48-Hour Urine Collection
You have 2 bottles for your 48 hour urine sample collection. Once you have completed the
collection, please go to the hospital for a blood test, to drop off your two bottles, and to do
one more fasting urine test. Use this form to help you plan how to do this.
1 Your 48-hr collection will take
place over 3 days.
For your 3rd day, avoid the

12 First, go to the Blood Center (room E2.45).
Bring the 2 bottles
and the hospital form
to the Royal Victoria hospital on the day that your
collection is complete.

Give the nurse your 2 urine

hospital form.
