parks, so play centres and the beach.
Many children receive 1-to-1 support from
our staff, volunteers provide addi onal fun

DASHAbout
The Ac vity Days are run over the Easter and
summer school holidays. Groups of 8 young
people and support staff go on day ou ngs.
The young people can choose where they
would like to go and what they would like to
do. Popular choices in the past have been West
Wales All Terrain Centre, Swimming, Horse
Riding and cinema trips.
Frendz a “mobile” youth club that goes out
three evenings a week during term me with
different groups of young people. Ac vi es
include skiing, horse riding, arts & cra s and
film nights.
We can now take referrals online, via Tîm
Plant Anabl, Tîm Teulu, Mentors, Young Carers,
Inclusion officers, or any other agency in
Ceredigion suppor ng young people.
Par cipa on
Over the years DASH has supported young
disabled people to a end various par cipa on and
consulta on opportuni es to learn more about
their rights and responsibili es.
Since 1978 DASH has been organising a variety
of leisure schemes for disabled children and
young people in Ceredigion. We do this so
that local disabled children and their families
can have a be er quality of life with access
to a wide choice of leisure facili es and
opportuni es. Parents and carers get me to
recharge their ba eries and disabled children
and young people get me of their own for
personal, social and crea ve development in
a welcoming and fun environment.

Volunteering
DASH Away Weekends
Friday - Sunday residen al weekends run
throughout the year at a purpose built venue. The
young people enjoy a fun and relaxing weekend
whilst their parents and carers receive the short
break they need.
Volunteers are a valuable asset to DASH
and support the staff at our schemes.
Their enthusiasm and dedica on towards
suppor ng our young people help us to
provide an excellent level of service. The
Volunteer co-ordinator recruits volunteers
from all areas of the community and supports
them to either organise fund raising events or
join in with our schemes.
