What is IBS Integrator?

What is IBS Integrator?
IBS Integrator is an award winning integration and connectivity platform, which allows organizations and
applications to easily connect and communicate with each other. More than 12 solution specific
adapters and a built-in high performance ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) enable IBS Integrator to connect
disparate applications in a seamless way. IBS Integrator provides 8 types of built-in services to easily setup and configure communication between systems and business partners.
What are the benefits of using IBS Integrator?
Supply Chain Integration: IBS Integrator allows customers to automate the processes within the supply
chain.




Data Management: Streamlined data management leads to better data quality, reduces the
number of manual interactions and ultimately results in reduced operational costs and higher
customer satisfaction.
Supply Chain Planning: Direct electronically access to your customer’s current stock level and
procurement plans allows you to plan your business more accurately and helps you saving costs
by ensuring an optimized stock level.
Visibility through Web Portals: A real time view of your current relationship with customers and
suppliers allows a just-in-time supply chain and makes sure you always have the stock you need.
Business Partner Collaboration: Business relations to customers and suppliers are changing over
time and require more collaboration between the partners. This requires a system which allows
you to speak to your partners in their language using disparate technologies in order to be able
to use information from external systems and applications.
SOA, integration through services: IBS Integrator helps you securing your investment by enabling
collaboration between your systems and your partners. Collaboration is supported through a vast range
of protocols such as SOAP, EDI, XML, HTTP(s), FTP(s), mail and SMS as well as out-of-the-box integration
with all major DMS (e.g. DB400, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and Queuing Tools (e.g. MQ Series, Microsoft
MQ, Oracle AQ). Of course IBS Integrator also provides seamless integration with IBS Enterprise and
other ERP systems.
High availability and fault tolerance: IBS Integrator’s built-in fault tolerance and expandability allows
organizations to service their customers and suppliers 24/7 – all year long!
Easy to use and configure: IBS Integrator takes less than 10 minutes to install and does not require any
additional software. Once installed, you can use the Design Studio to easily develop new solutions based
on Visual Statements and deploy and configure services through the web administration. IBS Integrator
delivers a seamless upgrade path, which allows our customers to secure their investment.
Through its wide range of supported technologies and protocols IBS Integrator allows you to realize all
of these benefits (and more). Please visit http://www.ibs.net/en/resources/case-studies/ Customer

What is Design Studio?
Design Studio is IBS Integrator’s development and test platform. You can easily create, debug and run
Integrator solutions (based on the java language). Visual Statements and Wizards allow developers to
create integration solutions intuitively without having to focus on APIs and syntax issues, enabling them
to concentrate solely on the business solution. Design Studio delivers more than 400 Visual Statements
and Wizards.
What is the web administration?
IBS Integrator provides the possibility to host different services, e.g. Timer, Folder watcher and Web
Services. The web administration is a browser based interface which enables the administrator to
create, configure, start and stop each service individually. In most cases the services were developed
through Design Studio.
How are Design Studio solutions deployed?
Integrator solutions are usually developed in Design Studio in an IBS specific language, which is a
superset of java. These programs are saved into an itr files. Compiling itr files in Design Studio will create
a java (source) and class (binary) representation of the itr file. These class files can subsequently be
deployed as services.
Why is Design Studio creating itr files?
IBS Integrator’s own itr language is a superset of the java language specification. Apart from the sun java
specification, itr files also support constructs which are specific for Visual Statements. These constructs
are compiled into java source files when an Integrator solution is built.
Which services does IBS Integrator provide?

services. It is absolutely possible to develop Integrator services in your preferred Development
Environment and deploy the service through the web administration.

environment. The code can be compiled into an exe file in order to allow developers to execute the code
outside of the installed environment.
