WHAT IS WINSHAPE CAMPS?
WinShape Camps creates unforgettable overnight and day camp experiences for boys and girls
of all ages through exciting programs designed to sharpen their character, deepen their faith and
grow in relationships with others.
WHAT IS THE SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS?
Our camping program focuses on creating a positive Christian environment in order to help
build strong character in the lives of young people. It is a place to have fun, make friends and
learn more about God. We will openly promote who God is and share Biblical truths from God’s
Word each and every day at camp through worship, music, prayer and devotions. However, we
respect each individual camper’s right to make their own decision regarding this important
spiritual matter. Every staff member is a follower of Christ and will model Jesus-like character.
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES AND PAYMENT DUE DATES?
The cost of camp for 2012 is $184. A non-refundable $50 deposit is required at the time of
registration; this deposit is included in the total cost of registration. You may go back into your
account at any time and as many times as you wish to make payments until your balance is paid
in full, but no later than a month before camp begins. Automatic camp fee payments will be set
up if you pay by credit card on assigned deadlines.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Fees may be paid by cash (CASH: onsite only if you are registering on the first day of camp),
check, Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express. Credit cards are accepted through online registration.
HOW DOES THE REGISTRATION PROCESS WORK?
We recommend you use our online registration process. It’s quick and easy. For new campers,
just access our website at www.winshapecamps.org and select the on-line registration button
and it will walk you through the process step by step. For returning campers, follow the steps
above, but select, “returning camper” and insert your e-mail address and password. Follow the
process to select a new session for you camper, pay your deposit, and then select the link to
update your camper’s information. If you are not able to register online you can call our office at
(800) 448-6955 ext. 2396 and we can take your registration over the phone. Please note that the
registration process depending on how many campers you are registering can take 15 minutes or
more. The application fee is non-refundable once the camper is registered and cannot be carried
over beyond the current camp year.
DURING CAMP, MAY I CONTACT MY CAMPER BY PHONE OR VISIT MY
CAMPER?
Due to our camp program being a day camp setting there would be no need to visit campers
during the camp day; however if a parent/grandparent would like to get involved with our day
camp program we encourage you to contact your host church about our volunteer program.
WILL MY CAMPER NEED ANY SPENDING MONEY?
The camp store is open each morning before camp and each afternoon during check-out. Each
camper will receive a free T-shirt on Thursday and free snacks during the week.
WILL LUNCH BE PROVIDED?
No, each camper will be responsible for bringing their own lunch with the exception of Friday,
which is “Chick-fil-A Friday Family Fun Day.” Chick-fi l-A will provide lunch for each camper
and the camper’s RSVP guests (campers are encouraged to invite parents/grandparents, and
siblings to camp and lunch on Friday).
WHAT IS THE COUNSELOR/CAMPER RATIO?
We have an excellent counselor/camper ratio of one staff member/volunteer to every 10
campers allowing each camper to have adequate individual attention from the staff and
volunteers.
MAY I MAKE A REQUEST FOR MY CAMPER TO BE WITH ANOTHER CAMPER
DURING THE CAMP DAY?
Please read carefully: Part of the positive experience your camper will encounter at WinShape
Camps is the ability to meet new campers. WinShape Camps would encourage you not to specify
a certain person to share your child’s camp day as it may not afford them this opportunity for
possible growth. If you feel this is the only possible way your camper will attend WinShape
Camps for Communities, we will try to honor your request if campers are in same age or grade
level. NOTE: In order for the campers to be together we recommend that they choose the same
skills in the same preference of order.
MUST MY CAMPER HAVE A PHYSICAL?
No, however you will need to fill out the Medical Forms and bring it with you on the first day of
camp. Campers will not be admitted without a completed medical form.
WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS?
Parents will be contacted if there is a continuous problem of non-participation in the program,
bullying, stealing, telling off-color stories or using such language, or any other behavior that
detracts from the Christian and wholesome environment the camp wishes to provide. Profanity
is prohibited. Violent, threatening, dishonest, dangerous, negative or otherwise unsatisfactory
behavior on the part of the camper could lead to his or her dismissal from camp. Our honor code
in which we ask all staff/volunteers and campers to abide by is, “Because I want to honor God, I
will: be honest, be positive, and show respect to other campers, staff and property.
SECOND THOUGHTS POLICY:
The deposit is non-refundable except if my child’s application to participate in camp is
declined by WinShape Camps due to space limitations or other reasons. If you cancel your
reservation less than 30 days prior to your camper’s arrival, you will be refunded half the cost of
camp minus the $50 non-refundable deposit. Deposits and payments are not transferrable
between accounts, but can be transferred between campers within an account.
WHAT OTHER CAMP PROGRAMS DOES WINSHAPE CAMPS OFFER?
WinShape Camps for Girls |Offers adventurous and fun camp experiences in safe and
encouraging environments through a one-week overnight camp at Young Harris and a
two-week overnight camp at Mt. Berry where girls participate in a variety of sports and skills
while making new friends and growing in their faith.
WinShape Camps for Girls One-Week Overnight Camp at Young Harris is for girls who
have completed grades 1-7. Campers will choose their skills/tracks on an individual
basis. When campers are not participating in skills/track, they are in age specific or
camp-wide activities. Cost is $660 ($100 non-refundable deposit).
WinShape Camps for Girls Two-Week Overnight Camp at Mt. Berry is for girls who have
completed grades 1-11. Campers will choose their skills on an individual basis. When
campers are not participating in skills, they are in age specific or camp-wide activities.
Campers will camp out one night during the two-week session, weather permitting. Cost
is $1,645 ($200 non-refundable deposit).
WinShape Camps for Boys | Offers one-week and two-week overnight experiences at Mt.
Berry where campers participate in countless athletic and creative skills, and are challenged to
grow in their faith by applying God’s Word to their daily lives.
WinShape Camps for Boys One-Week Overnight Camp is for boys who have completed
grades 1-2. These campers will stay together as a group and participate in several skills
each day. Campers will camp out one night during the session, weather permitting. Cost
is $660 ($100 non-refundable deposit).
WinShape Camps for Boys Two-Week Overnight Camp is for boys who have completed
grades 1-11. They will have the opportunity to select several skill options that fit their
individual interest. When campers are not in skills, they are in age specific or camp-wide
activities. Campers will camp out one night during the two-week session, weather
permitting. Cost is $1,645 ($200 non-refundable deposit).

WinShape Day Camp Scholarship Application
(Available to CharterBank Customers)
Camp Location: Western Heights Baptist Church (LaGrange, GA)
Camp Dates: June 11 - 15
Scholarship Guidelines:
CharterBank, as the flagship sponsor of Camp WinShape LaGrange, is offering
15 partially-paid scholarships to customers. The value of this scholarship is $134 (note: the
cost of the camp is $184, with CharterBank paying $134 and the winning recipient paying a
$50 co-pay). Customer applications are limited to Troup County residents only with
established CharterBank relationships. Scholarship recipients must be an immediate family
member of a CharterBank customer (son, daughter, step son, step daughter, or grandchild).
Recipients must be willing to 1). pay the $50 co-pay, 2). initiate enrollment with WinShape
Camps, and 3). provide transportation to/from camp for your child. WinShape Camp is open
to children who have completed 1st – 6th grade.
