“I‘m crazy about cycling since childhood”; I have been competing in cycle races for a long time and have been in the
cycling business for more than 30 years now. Cycling is simply my whole life!
When enhancing my own performance was not possible
anymore looking to mechanical advantage was the way forward. Those were the times when the value of my bike topped the value of my car.
As an enthusiast and bike technician, I have tested hundreds of different components on my own bikes and have
constantly sought ways to enhance the performance of those bikes. Like many other cyclists I began building my bike
starting with the frame and finishing with the wheels, however, this was a fundamental error. Hardly anybody realises
that the wheels play the most crucial role in our performance! In terms of physics it is the rotating part of components
that is the most important. For the sake of simplicity we can
say that one gram saved on the wheel equals two grams
saved on the frame of the bike.
My passion for high quality „material that matters“ has led
me to the study of details, and thus EQUINOX was born. The
search for technological innovations has led me to where
I am right now and I am glad that I can offer material which I
am genuinely proud of.
That’s not the end yet! Technology is constantly evolving in
unexpected directions. I am already looking forward to what
comes next!

NANO CARBON TUBE
This is the material we add into our high TG epoxy resin system. It enhances
the toughness and yet maintains the stiffness of the resin system. Therefore,
together with our T1000 fibre, this Nano tube additive generally offers:
•a stronger structure that helps to resist the heat generated
by the continuous braking force
•it provides a lighter yet stronger rim structure that enables manufacturing
a wheel set weighing less than 1kg feasible
•generally this rim is also 20 % to 30 % stiffer than a normal carbon rim
