Nguyen has more than 25 years’ experience in the field of project management on major construction and high-technology projects with leading Canadian and U.S. corporations such as the SNC-Lavalin Inc., Lockheed Martin and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). He has been working as a project management consultant for the CSA on projects associated with the International Space Station (ISS) project, the construction of the largest and most sophisticated engineering facility ever undertaken as well as for SNC-Lavalin International on China’s Three Gorges Dam project, the largest on-going construction project on earth. Dr Nghi is passionate about training and development that will help build a better management workforce in Vietnam. Khong Doan Cuong Consultant, Geology and Infrastructure Cuong has 14 years of experience in construction and project management. He acquired an in-depth knowledge of geotechnical foundation when working with Golder Associates and extensive experience in structure, geology, tunnel design, underground construction and integration management systems during his time with Faber Maunsell / AECOM. Cuong has been awarded an Engineering Diploma in Australia and a doctorate degree in Soil Mechanics in the UK. Nguyen Van Son Senior Project Manager As a Vietnamese Canadian, Son has 40 years’ experience in project development, project management, industrial construction, mining, infrastructure and high-rise buildings in the US, Canada, Algeria, China, Peru, Morocco and Vietnam. Son has worked for some of the world’s leading construction corporations, such as Dessau Inc and SNC Lavalin. Chung Bac Ai Consultant, Structural Engineering Dr. Chung Bac Ai has over 12 years of experience in structural design. Nguyen The Phung Senior Advisor, Structural Engineering Dr Nguyen The Phung’s strengths include a solid background in underground construction with over 40 years of experience. He is a member of the State Council for Construction Quality Control. Since 2001, Dr Phung has largely focused on structural engineering for high-rise buildings. He holds a doctorate degree from Russia and used to be a lecturer at the Construction University.
