The die cast Pin Hole trim refers to its appearance and function. The regressed Pin Hole
trim offers down lighting through a 2” aperture. The lamp is non adjustable within this
series (for an adjustable Pin Hole see the Picolo series). The inner premium black baffle
reduces glare and absorbs lamp brightness. White Baffle is optional.
Designed for non cover glass MR16 lamp, can accommodate 1 lens accessories. Ships
standard with clear glass lens.
Pin Hole trims are ideal for highlighting objects in homes, stores, museums or any
hospitality application.

SPECIFICATIONS
The new Pivot trim provides the ideal solution for highlighting wall mounted objects or for grazing textured walls. This ultra regressed Pivot trim offers
downlighting through a 1” wide oval slot. The lamp is positioned for maximum light output. The trim can be rotated 3590. The lamp is vertically adjustable up to
350, and has locking capabilities utilizing thumb screws. The luminaire is indexed so that aiming angle can be selected and locked. This assures permanent
positioning when relamping. The internal housing components are painted matte black. The trim is tapered at the opening to minimize any flash. Accommodates
up to 2 lenses and a snoot if necessary.
Ideal for highlighting wall mounted objects in homes, stores, museums, offices, restaurants, showrooms or any hospitality application.

All Aurora trims are adjustable (up to 35 degrees) and offer performance, versatility, and excellent brightness control in a
small aperture. All trim rings are made of die cast aluminum and are powder coat painted or plated. The collection includes
grooved baffles, silver, gold, black specular, champagne and satin reflectors. The series also offers decorative color
specular finishes matching any decor including copper, blue, green and purple.
Designed for non cover glass MR16 lamp, can accommodate up to 2 lens accessories. Ships standard with clear glass

Rated Non I/C. The 2-020-F Frame- In Kit offers a unique design
allowing installations of very shallow plenums as low as 4”. Baseplate
20ga.C.R.S. with black powder coat paint finish. Baseplate is designed for
9 3/4”
bi-directional mounting of hanger bars. 16” Hanger bars supplied as standard.
Approved for all ceiling types including air-handling plenums.
J-Box:
18ga. Galvanized steel. 5 K.O. around J-Box to allow for easy wire entr y.
Approved for branch circuit wiring.
Thermal Protection:
All frame-in kits have overload protection for over lamping.
Transformer:
Housings with magnetic Transformers are rated to MAX 50 Watts. Magnetic
core
and coil transformers are made with copper windings, Class H Rating (180oC):
120V, 277V, 347V Primary available.

SPECIFICATIONS
All Aurora trims are adjustable (up to 35 degrees) and offer performance, versatility, and excellent brightness control in a
small aperture. All trim rings are made of die cast aluminum and are powder coat painted or plated. The collection includes
grooved baffles, silver, gold, black specular, champagne and satin reflectors. The series also offers decorative color
specular finishes matching any decor including copper, blue, green and purple.
Designed for non cover glass MR16 lamp, can accommodate up to 2 lens accessories. Ships standard with clear glass
lens.
The Aurora collection is ideal for lobbies, conference rooms, corridors, hotels, restaurants, retail spaces, music halls,
offices, and residences.

SPECIFICATIONS
The Aqua trim is wet location listed. All Aqua trims are adjustable (up to 35 degrees).
The Aqua is an alternative to the Coral Shower Trim. The trim is made of die cast
aluminum and features a flat glass design which is sealed in place. The Aqua is
available with clear or frosted glass.
The Aqua collection is designed for 50 or 75 Watt MR16 lamps (depending on the
housing) and provides excellent illumination for shower applications.
Applications can include: showers, soffits, saunas, or any place where a wet listed trim
is required.

Field Terminating:
Line voltage ropelight will not be eligible for safety listings unless it is shipped from the factory with power terminations assembled. Furthermore, alterations to factory assembled Ropelight sections will void the warranty and safety listings.
Bulk line voltage ropelight is not safety listed.
Handling:
Ropelight is made with a durable PVC tube to protect the lamps
and connections. Excessive roughness, repetitive bending, inclement installation temperatures will cause failures in the
product. All Ropelights are tested before shipping.
Cutmarks:
Ropelight can only be terminated on the cut marks. Because it
is Series/Parallel wired, making cuts anywhere else will render
that entire section non-functional. Cuts must be made between
the wire shunts inside the PVC. Please contact BL for more specific details.
Measuring:
Since Ropelight must be cut at regular intervals which are not
always the same as the required lengths, often extra Ropelight
exists beyond the length needed. This can be blanked out with
wireloom or other material and hidden. If it is cut between cut
marks, the entire section will cease to function and may void
warranty and safety listings.
Ventilation and Overheating:
Incandescent lamps and LEDs create heat, heat buildup will
shorten the life of the lamps and LEDs, may impact the clarity of
the PVC, and cause solder connections to fail. It is important to
allow for ventilation in all applications. Incandescent Ropelights
must be exposed on at least 3 sides and LED Ropelight must be
exposed on at least 2.

Inline Rectifiers
LED Ropelight requires DC Power at its stated voltage. Inline rectifiers built into the power cords convert AC to DC power without affecting the voltage and will come moulded into the power
cords. Line voltage LED Ropelight will require a 2-prong plug, a
rectifier and the Ropelight. Low Voltage Ropelight requires a stepdown transformer, a rectifier and the Ropelight. Alternatively and
preferably, a DC Driver will convert 120VAC to the required DC
voltage and will help maintain the life of the product by regulating the power supplied.
Mounting:
Ropelight can be laid into place, secured with clips or secured

Colour Temperature:
BL strives to maintain colour consistency with all of its products,
however it is not always possible to be 100% accurate. Colour
temperature variance is normal within a reasonable margin and is
especially pronounced with LED Ropelight. Cool White LED Ropelight has a bluish tinge to it because of its high K temperature and
is often confused with Blue.
Life Span:
Ropelight, like all lighting products, rate their lives at the average
life. For incandescent lamps, that is when 50% of the lamps are
expected to be operating still. LED life is determined when the
lamps are at 70% of their light output. All Ropelight products are
wired in series/parallel; when a lamp fails, a section will no longer
illuminate. Section length is the same as cutting increments.
Weather
Very hot or very cold weather will have an adverse effect on Ropelights and can cause temporary and permanent problems.

concentric rings, black finish. Permanently fastened to specular clear

3. Black Cone : Specular black Alzak ® aluminum. Permanently fastened to
specular clear reflector.
4. Socket Cup: Heat dissipating die-cast zinc. Positive locking attachment,
without tools, to reflector assures proper optical alignment of lamp. Snaps
onto reflector for easy tool-less installation.
5. Mounting Frame: Die-cast aluminum suitable for dry or plaster ceilings.
6. Retaining Springs : Rust resistant springs simplify reflector/housing
removal for inspection and maintenance.
7. Mounting Brackets: 16 ga. steel. Use 18" (457 mm) mounting bars
(optional) or with standard 3/4" (19 mm), 1-1/2" (38 mm) lathing channels
(by others) or 1/2” (13 mm) tubing (by others). Adjust vertically from
inside of fixture.
8. Junction Box: 14 ga. steel, 4" (102 mm) x 3-1/2" (89 mm x 2" (51 mm)
box, allows inspection from below. CSA certified for through branch
circuit wiring with maximum of 8 no. 12, 90º C conductors.
9. Electronic Ballast: Thermally protected class "P" High Power Factor,
no visible flicker on starting , internally fused and protection circuit for lamp end
of life. Sound rated “A”. Designed for removal without tools from inside of

grooved baffles, silver, gold, black specular, champagne and satin reflectors. The series also offers decorative color
specular finishes matching any decor including copper, blue, green and purple.
Designed for non cover glass MR16 lamp, can accommodate up to 2 lens accessories. Ships standard with clear glass
lens.

The die cast Pin Hole trim refers to its appearance and function. The regressed Pin Hole
trim offers down lighting through a 2” aperture. The lamp is non adjustable within this
series (for an adjustable Pin Hole see the Picolo series). The inner premium black baffle
reduces glare and absorbs lamp brightness. White Baffle is optional.
Designed for non cover glass MR16 lamp, can accommodate 1 lens accessories. Ships
standard with clear glass lens.

Accessories
1. Reflector: Specular Alzak® aluminum, 16 ga. 55º visual cut-off to lamp
and lamp image. Reflector supplied with white molded trim ring (field
paintable). Reflector is iridescence free (rainbow effect).
2. Multi-Groove Baffle: One piece seamless aluminum. sharply detailed
concentric rings, black finish. Permanently fastened to specular clear
reflector.
3. Black Cone : Specular black Alzak ® aluminum. Permanently fastened to
specular clear reflector.
4. Socket Cup: Heat dissipating die-cast zinc. Positive locking attachment,
without tools, to reflector assures proper optical alignment of lamp. Snaps
onto reflector for easy tool-less installation.
5. Mounting Frame: Die-cast aluminum suitable for dry or plaster ceilings.
6. Retaining Springs : Rust resistant springs simplify reflector/housing
removal for inspection and maintenance.
7. Mounting Brackets: 16 ga. steel. Use 18" (457 mm) mounting bars
(optional) or with standard 3/4" (19 mm), 1-1/2" (38 mm) lathing channels
(by others) or 1/2” (13 mm) tubing (by others). Adjust vertically from
inside of fixture.
8. Junction Box: 14 ga. steel, 4" (102 mm) x 3-1/2" (89 mm x 2" (51 mm)
box, allows inspection from below. CSA certified for through branch
circuit wiring with maximum of 8 no. 12, 90º C conductors.
9. Electronic Ballast: Thermally protected class "P" High Power Factor,
no visible flicker on starting , internally fused and protection circuit for lamp end
of life. Sound rated “A”. Designed for removal without tools from inside of
fixture for easy field inspection or service replacement.
10. Socket: Molded thermoplastic. Pre-wired with 18 ga. SEW leads
to junction box.

SPECIFICATIONS
The die cast Pin Hole trim refers to its appearance and function. The regressed Pin Hole
trim offers down lighting through a 2” aperture. The lamp is non adjustable within this
series (for an adjustable Pin Hole see the Picolo series). The inner premium black baffle
reduces glare and absorbs lamp brightness. White Baffle is optional.
Designed for non cover glass MR16 lamp, can accommodate 1 lens accessories. Ships
standard with clear glass lens.
Pin Hole trims are ideal for highlighting objects in homes, stores, museums or any
hospitality application.

SPECIFICATIONS
The Aqua trim is wet location listed. All Aqua trims are adjustable (up to 35 degrees).
The Aqua is an alternative to the Coral Shower Trim. The trim is made of die cast
aluminum and features a flat glass design which is sealed in place. The Aqua is
available with clear or frosted glass.
The Aqua collection is designed for 50 or 75 Watt MR16 lamps (depending on the
housing) and provides excellent illumination for shower applications.
Applications can include: showers, soffits, saunas, or any place where a wet listed trim
is required.
