Math Pacing Guide 2012-2013 Cover Sheet

Egg Harbor Township 4th Grade Mathematics Curriculum/Pacing Guide (2012-2013)
(Revised 4-20-12)
Math Pacing Guide 2012-2013 Cover Sheet
1. Continue including math vocabulary words in the lessons, but they are not tested.
2. Use the assessments (tests/quizzes) given to you for each chapter.
3. Extra dates have been built into each trimester outside of the time frame guides for flexibility.
4. Since Chapter 4 has been removed, it is important to start reviewing multiplication and division facts from the
beginning of the year and continue throughout the school year.
5. The pacing guide was constructed to maximize actual number of teaching days. These are guidelines for the
amount of time that each chapter should take.
6. Enrichment Concepts need to be covered.
7. Trimester Math Assessment (TMA)
a. TMA dates have been altered so as to eliminate a conflict with the LAL Benchmark Assessments.
b. TMAs will be administered in two 40 minute periods or one 80 block.
c. TMAs will resemble the former Quarterly Assessments. Questions/skills were manipulated to accommodate
the new trimester dates and common core standards.
d. TMAs questions will include: 15 Multiple Choice, 9 Short Constructed Response, and 9 Extended Constructed
Response.
