It is a huge commitment for many of the workers and I am so grateful to them all. Since a number of the parking spots will be occupied by the rides, etc., it would really be helpful if you were able to walk or carpool to Church next Sunday. I hope you are planning to have lunch and dinner at the delicious food booths. I will look for you there; bring your friends and neighbors. Proposition 73, which has been called “Parents Right To Know” by its sponsors, would require notification of the parents of a minor 48 hours before she obtains an abortion, unless a judge determines that such notification places her in danger. The Catholic bishops of California concur fully in the guarantee of these fundamental parental rights. They strongly encourage us to offer our full support in promoting Proposition 73 as good public policy. Keep Friday evening, October 21, free to accept the invitation from Rabbi Vogel and Temple Aliyah to all of us to attend their Friday Sukkot Service. It begins at 8:15 p.m. and will last about an hour and twenty minutes. He has invited me to speak. Next week’s bulletin will have a letter from the Rabbi inviting us all. ~ Father McNamara November Book Club Selection available after Masses this weekend: Pick up a copy of By What Authority? by Richard Gaillardetz after all of the Masses this weekend.
