Body and bonnet shall be made of bronze ASTM B-62. Stems shall be made of bronze ASTM B-62 or B-371, asbestos-free packing, PTFE disc and malleable iron handwheel. Acceptable valves: Class 125 - Stockham B-13T (threaded) or B-14T (solder) Class 150 - Stockham B-22T (threaded) or B-20T (solder) 2½” and larger Valves shall be Class 125 and manufactured in accordance with MSS-SP-85. Body and bonnet shall be of ASTM A-126B, valves to be flanged, OS&Y, bolted bonnet and bronze trim. Packing and gasket material shall be asbestos-free. Acceptable valves: Class 125 - Stockham G-931 Ball Valves: 3” and smaller Valves shall be 150 psi WSP, 600 psi CWP manufactured in accordance to MSS-SP-110. Valves to be two piece cast bronze body of ASTM B-584, RTFE seats, full port solid ball, blow-out proof stem with separate pack nut for adjustable stem packing. Valve ends must be full depth threaded or solder to meet ASME requirements. Acceptable valves: Stockham T-285-BR-R-70 (threaded) Stockham S-285-BR-R-70 (solder) Note: Stainless steel ball and stem may be used in applications where conditions require it. Acceptable valves: Stockham T-285-BR-R-66 Stockham S-285-BR-R-66 Butterfly Valves: 2” and larger Valves shall be cast iron or ductile iron lug body manufactured in accordance with MSS-SP- 67. Pressure rating on valves 12” and smaller shall be 200 psi non-shock cold water working pressure, 14” and larger shall be rated at 150 psi non-shock cold water working pressure. Body of valve to have 2” extended neck for insulation. Lug style valves shall be rated at full pressure for dead end service without the need for a down stream flange.
