For the last six years Aish Tel Aviv has touched the hearts of more
than 5000 influential people in Tel Aviv while strengthening
Israeli society by inspiring and engaging leaders with core
Jewish values.
Since its founding, Aish Tel Aviv has been offering a wide range of
activities and classes held at its educational centers to facilitate an
active and fruitful dialogue between religious and non-religious
individuals.
The center of the Jewish world is Israel, and the economic and
cultural hub of Israel is Tel Aviv as it attracts thousands of young
ambitious Israelis who will become Israel’s future leaders.
While Tel Aviv’s economic achievements are a source of pride for
Jews around the world, many feel that this thriving modern city is
losing touch with the traditional Jewish values that helped shape
the State of Israel. With post-Zionism and anti-religious sentiments
at an all-time high, Aish Tel Aviv aims to encourage leaders to
take social responsibility and strengthen Israeli society by
embracing their heritage and by acknowledging its role.

Dear friend, Shalom!
Aish Tel Aviv is undergoing dynamic development and expansion. Six years of major efforts and investment
in disseminating core Jewish values through our instructive workshops and seminars in our centers amidst
the heart of Israel's economic and cultural capital have turned Aish Tel Aviv into one of the leading nonprofit
Jewish organizations in Israel.
We are dedicated to identifying, inspiring and mentoring a new generation of Israeli leaders. We provide
them with a Jewish education as well as with skills and networking opportunities to be effective leaders of the
Jewish and wider community committed to Tikkun Olam in Israel and beyond.
This year’s Gala is to help maximize Aish Tel Aviv's capacity to deliver on its mission of strengthening Israeli
society by empowering and encouraging Israeli leaders to take responsibility for increasing Jewish awareness
and for confronting contemporary challenges facing Israel today.

David & Rebecca Levy
Dr. ERIC R. SIRKIN
Over the years, David and Rebecca have been involved in a variety of worthy
causes in the US and Israel. They are particularly dedicated to organizations that
enhance interaction between the different segments of the Jewish community.
The Levys made aliyah to Raanana from New Jersey in 2005, bringing with them a
passion for Torah learning and Jewish continuity. David began volunteering for the
Aish Tel Aviv Chavruta nights, promoting discussion/study groups in offices, and
currently serves as a member of the Board, while Rebecca has been active in youth
and chessed programs in Raanana for their shul, school and other institutions. The
Levys remain committed to the mission of strengthening Am Yisrael by fostering
communication and bridging gaps in Israeli society through education, mutual
respect and shared values. David is a Vice President at Citibank Israel and Rebecca
works as a Project Manager at World Ort/Kadima Mada. They are both proud
parents to 3 boys.
Dr. Sirkin is one of the brightest managers and technologists working with portfolio
companies assisting them in their overall operation whether it is engineering,
business development, marketing or manufacturing. Dr. Sirkin served as Sr. Director
Engineering at Apple Inc., Sr. VP of Engineering & Operations at Gethere (sold to Sabre
Holdings), VP Engineering at Signafy Inc.(sold to NEC), Sr. Director at Zoran Corp., VP
Engineering at Silexos and Member Research Staff at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center.
He holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a PhD from the
College of Chemistry at the University of California at Berkeley (where he was named
the Chancellor`s Fellow in Chemistry) and completed his postdoctoral research in
the Department of Physical Chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Dr.
Sirkin has authored or co-authored more than 15 patents in fields ranging from
semiconductor processing, software design, color printing, flat panel displays and
communications. As an avid sailor he can often be found sailing the Mediterranean
or scuba diving in exotic locations around the globe. Eric has been involved in several
non-profits including Israel Democracy Institute and Israel Venture Network. Eric is a
proud father of 3 daughters and he made Aliah from Los Angeles in 2010.

Dear Friends,
Many of us picked up and moved our families to Israel so we have a vested interest in the future leadership. As my
friend Benny recently asserted, we are here to make a difference. Over the last 3+ years, I have become involved with
a dynamic organization in their efforts to reach out to the leaders of mainstream Israeli society. In one sentence, the
mission of Aish Tel Aviv is to strengthen Israeli society by engaging and educating leaders with core Jewish values.
On May 20th, Aish Tel Aviv will host its dinner (details below and @ www.aishtelavivdinner.com). Rebecca and I
would like to personally invite you to attend and join us in supporting this worthy organization to continue building
on their achievements towards repositioning Judaism in the lives of modern Israelis. As a not-for-profit, Aish Tel Aviv
relies on private donations and all contributions are tax deductible in both Israel and the US.
Aish Tel Aviv is building bridges in Israeli society with programs that present fundamental Jewish ethics/values in a
thought-provoking and unimposing way. I have participated in many events and seen first-hand very successful and

Dear Friends,
Many of you know that while I am a fully engaged member of the greater Jewish Community I am not what one might
consider a Torah Scholar. I learn with Rabbi David Ziering, the Managing Director of Aish Tel Aviv, but at an introductory
level and rather slow pace. We, Aish students, each have our own reasons for pursuing these studies so late in our lives.
In my case I have a passion for reading and understanding history regardless of era and global region. I know that our
interlocking system of laws and their rabbinic interpretations were fundamental (along with those of the Greeks) in the
formation of Western Democracy and Civilization as we know it. It is within this context of understanding our own laws that
helps me understand the greater picture.
I have been around Israelis all my adult life, both in Palo Alto and, of course, here in Israel. I know that those of my generation
learned Talmud/Torah as part of their secular school education in Israel as they would often quote various rabbinic texts in
some relevant context during our many discussions. Whether these Israelis, most of whom lead secular lives, live in Israel
or in California I have witnessed their strong attachment to Israel and the teachings of our sages. However, I also see that
the generation of my children that are growing up in the Israeli secular school systems learn nothing about Talmud/Torah.
I have seen, first hand, the dangerous consequences of this phenomenon not just here in Israel but on college campuses
in the USA. Israeli students growing up in such ignorance not only have a disdain for anything related to Torah but often
Israel and Zionism.
I believe that for a healthy future it is important that we not only engage the ultra-orthodox community, but also engage
the ultra-secular community in active participation in Israeli Society. It is through this lens that I see the importance of the
great work being done by the Aish Tel Aviv Team. On any given day the staff conduct multiple classes either in their own
buildings or on site at one of the many companies they reach out to. They enrich the lives of all their students in many
creative ways, innovating no less than the community they serve. I believe that they fill an important void in helping to
bring our society together to serve a higher purpose.

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD, IES HOLDINGS
Mr. Gabbay made Aliya to Israel in 1951 together with the major Aliya from Iraq.
As a CPA who had worked at Whinney, Murray & Co. in Bagdad he joined the
company`s branch in Haifa two days following his Aliya.
In November 1959 the Gabbays decided to open their own private company.
Shortly thereafter CPA Gabbay became an expert in the field of revision and
accounting for insurance companies and banks and today also in the field of pension
and capital market.
Chairman of the Board and the main shareholder of IES Holdings which is engaged
in finance, real estate, infrastructure and industry and is traded on the Israeli Stock
Exchange at a value of about 600 million shekels.
In 1998 Gabbay`s company merged with CPA office Cost-Lev-Ari-Forer which had
merged before in 1994 with Ernst & Young.
From 2003 the firm in Israel is called Ernst & Young Israel – Kost Forer Gabbay &
Kasierer.
Mr. Gabbay is very active for the civil society in Israel. For many years he has been the
chairman of the Foundation for the promotion of education in Israel (founded by
the foundation to promote education among decedents of Iraqi Jews). In addition
Mr. Gabbay supports different nonprofits in Israel including the Haredi College for
Women in Jerusalem and Aish Tel Aviv.
Mr. Gabbay is married to Narda and together they are proud parents to a son and 3
daughters and proud grandparents to 9 grandchildren.

Geyer began his career as a trainee at the accounting firm Forer (later Kost-Forer,
later Ernst & Young ). Since then and throughout his 25 years of career he has led and
been involved in a series of transactions of billions of shekels in real estate, industry,
tourism and food and energy.
Geyer serves as the main shareholder or partner in 17 public companies and is now
working to set up a power plant with an investment of two billion shekels as well as
an Air Park - a project which is establishing a unique facility in the Middle East for the
storage and preservation of aircraft.
In the industrial Park Palmahim (about 300 acres) there are many industrial and
logistics companies as well as desalination plant which operates and the industrial
company Spankrit.
Mr. Geyer studied at the Nativ Meir yeshiva high school in Jerusalem, he holds a
BA with honors in Economics and Accounting and MA in finance from Ben Gurion
University. He is married to Noa, a lawyer and the couple has five children.

Innovation: Africa powers rural schools, medical clinics, orphanages
and water pumping systems in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Malawi and
Uganda. In October 2013, we completed our pilot project on a school
in the Limpopo region in South Africa. Since our founding in 2008 we
have powered 77 facilities directly impacting 662, 854 people.

OUR ACTIVITIES:
PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER OF INNOVATION: AFRICA
• MATERNITY SERVICES: In our solar powered medical clinics,
the number of women seeking professional maternity care
has increased by up to 400% because woman can find the
clinic at night and are more confident in the care they’ll
receive.
Sivan Ya’ari is the Founder and President of Innovation: Africa. Born in Israel and
raised in France, Sivan has been working in Africa for over ten years. Her time on
the African continent began while working with a major multinational corporation
in 1999. Following two years in the finance world, Sivan worked with the United
Nations Development Program (UNDP) on diesel energy development. It was during
this time that she realized the importance of a more sustainable energy solution, and
developed the groundwork for what would become Innovation: Africa.
Today, this start-up NGO received consultative status at the United Nations and
maintains operations in six African countries, including Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi,
Ethiopia, South Africa, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. With a small global
professional team and thousands of volunteers, Innovation Africa has installed Israeli
solar technologies for water pumping and energy in over 76 rural African villages,
impacting over 650,000 individuals. Sivan is now devoting her full attention to
expanding the work of Innovation Africa to alleviate poverty in Africa while helping
to improve Israel’s image in the developing world.
Sivan graduated summa cum laude with a degree in finance from Pace University
and holds a Master’s degree in International Energy Management and Policy from
Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
She and her husband David own iSpa Express, Israel’s largest retail chain of nail and
cosmetic treatments, and reside with their three children in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
• EDUCATION: In our solar powered schools, graduation rates
have as much as tripled in one year because students have
time to study and learn at night.
32 years old. We recently received a $260,000 grant from the
family foundation of Paul Singer, noted philanthropist, hedge
fund manager and participant in the Giving Pledge. 100% of
individual donations are spent on our direct project costs.
• SUSTAINABILITY: We were the first to build a business model
into every one of our solar projects, making each one 100%
self-sustaining. We’re also the first to leverage low-cost
remote monitoring systems capable of tracking energy
production and consumption at each of our project sites and
transmitting the data to an online server that we can access
from any computer, anywhere in the world.
• TECHNOLOGY FROM ISRAEL: The technologies we use from
Israel include the remote monitoring systems of Remmon,
Powercom and Greenlet; locks from Karnaf; CompuLab’s
low-cost, energy-efficient and ultra-durable computers; and
Netafim’s drip irrigation systems.
• VACCINES: Over 300,000 lifesaving medicines and vaccines
have been issued from our solar-powered refrigerators.
• CLEAN WATER: We have provided clean water to over 3,000
by installing solar-powered water pumps that pump 20,000
liters a day.
• 2014 GOALS: We have 38 projects in the pipeline which we
have identified as being in urgent need of energy, medical
care and water.
• AT THE UNITED NATIONS: We just received a UN Innovation
Award at the Global South-South Development Expo on
November 1, 2013. We also have Special Consultative Status
to the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
• FUNDING: Our funding comes from individuals, corporations
and foundations. The average age of our major donor is just
www.innoafrica.org

MOSHE KAHLON
Moshe Kahlon is founder and chairman of the Center for Reform & Leadership at Netanya
Academic College. The Center represents a much-needed approach to the formulation
of programs and initiatives, to the removal of bureaucratic obstructions and others, to
improve the society, the economy, the government and life in Israel, and this, through
the assistance of researchers, academics and experts from the public and private sectors.
At 2003 Kahlon was first elected to the Knesset. 2006-2007 he was head of the
parliamentary inquiry committee about the commissions charges of the banks. It
resulted in an amendment in the Law of Banking, that had brought to a reduction to
one third of the number of charges within the consumer services.
March 2009 he was appointed Minister of Communications. During his term he
promoted far-reaching changes in the local cellular market that were destined to
increase competition. January 2011 he was also appointed Minister of Welfare.
He has a first degree in Political Science and General Studies from Haifa University.
Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from Netanya Academic College. He is a graduate of the
Advanced Management Program (AMP 184, 2013) at Harvard Business School.
Mr. Kahlon was awarded distinguished awards such as the service medal of "Ometz",
for showing sensitivity to the needs of the individual and his struggle for the weak
and his resolute stance against the tycoons, the "Knight of Quality Government" for
improving the status of the Consumer and the "Isef Award" for the decrease of socioeconomic gaps.

IT ALL STARTS WITH EDUCATION
Dear friends, on this special evening we are honoring people which are leaders in their fields. Everything they do,
they do with courage and faith, honesty and honor toward every person. Their actions are exemplary and through
them, they serve as models for Jewish Moral and Business Leadership.
In our daily life we often complain about corruption and the rising rate of violence in society, about car accidents
and about the general feeling that these days nothing is sacred. I've been hearing these "complaints" since I have
been a little boy. But if we think about it together, I think that there's one solution to all of these problems: Education.
Years ago I was asked, why did you go "into" Education? (granted, this was a legitimate question considering the fact
that I come from a long line of doctors of all fields…) and the truth is that this is an excellent question, one I have
asked myself before I started this journey and one that I continue to ask myself every day.
So, why indeed???
The answer lies within the honorable people that you will meet tonight and at Eish Tel Aviv, which I cherish. From
their conduct throughout their daily administrative duties to the words that come out of the Rabbis' mouths during
the shiurim, they educate and encourage every person to feel and to actually live the message they pass along,
which is summarized beautifully in the sentence said by Mahatma Ghandi:
"Be the change that you wish to see in the world"
And in the words of Chazal: "It is only up to me"
We all strive towards a better world for our children. Come help us create it!
Come be partners to a daily message to educate towards unity and honesty, towards moral and ethical leadership.
Come be a part of change to a world built on honor and human kindness. Come be part of the longed-for change.

A letter from Rabbi Shalom Schwartz
(Former Av Beit Din of Tel Aviv)
The Torah teaches us to count the 49 days from Pesach to Shavuot. We count each day and relive Am Yisrael’s
journey from Yetziat Mitzraim to Mount Sinai. We were liberated from slavery and headed out into the desert in
order to receive the Torah, our guide to be a source of inspiration and blessing to each other and to the entire world.
Each day we count our days and focus on making each day count. It has been asked why we don’t count down from
50 to one...50, 49, 48, etc. Countdowns are always exciting and perhaps that would enhance the excitement and
anticipation we want to feel towards receiving the Ten Commandments and the Torah on Shavuot. It seems that the
way to prepare for receiving Torah is not primarily through building excitement but rather by building ourselves.
Each of the 49 days is a day for building awareness, character and values.
The important work of Aish Tel Aviv cannot be overstated. Many of the founding fathers of Modern Zionism spoke
of the need to rebuild the Jewish nation in its ancestral homeland not only as a safe haven from anti-Semitism but
also in order for us to express our national values, culture and identity.
Certainly 2000 years of longing to return to Eretz Yisrael, were inspired by a vision of creating a society of ethical
and moral excellence, imbued with Jewish wisdom and values. Aish Tel Aviv has undertaken this task of inspiring
and empowering the business, social and cultural leaders of Israel today and tomorrow to show the way towards
this meaningful and crucial goal.
I would like to congratulate all the worthy honorees and their families for their contribution to Israeli society and
for advancing the work of Aish Tel Aviv. Your support and partnership is deeply appreciated by the wonderful and
dedicated Aish Tel Aviv team. This dinner is clearly a huge step forward in realizing our vision of a modern Israeli
society imbued with the wisdom and values of our heritage.
I have heard of the good work of "Aish Tel Aviv ", which aims to bring young people and new Olim in Tel Aviv
closer to Torah and Judaism.
I personally know Aish Tel Aviv’s Director Rabbi David Ziering, who works tirelessly with passionate dedication
for that sublime purpose.
I have heard that they have been blessed with success and many have developed a closer relationship to
Jewish values and some have integrated Torah and Mitzvot into their lives.

A most worthy honoree for the AISH Hillel Tikkun Olam award.
Sivan has accomplished an incredible amount for the good of humanity.
When Sivan saw first-hand the extreme poverty and lack of resources in
Africa, she determined that she was going to make a difference and also
help improve the image of Israel at the same time.
She founded Jewish Heart for Africa (now Innovation Africa) and, as
amazing as it sounds, in just 6 years, more than 600,000 African people
have had their lives changed for the better through her efforts.
In addition, she has inspired countless young people eager to find a way
to make a difference and experience Tikkun Olam for themselves.
She also co-founded iSpa Express, the largest network of cosmetic spas
throughout Israel that today employs over 150 people.
She has been a loving and devoted wife to our incomparable son, David.
And, on top of all of this, she has provided us with 3 wonderful
grandchildren - Ori, Emily and Adam, whom we love dearly.

‫מצרים ועד מעמד הר סיני‪ .‬שוחררנו מעבדות והובלנו אל המדבר על מנת לקבל את התורה‪ ,‬המדריך שלנו שיהפוך להיות מקור‬

‫אין גבול לחשיבות העבודה של "אש תל אביב"‪ .‬רבים מהאבות המייסדים של הציונות המודרנית דיברו על הצורך לבנות מחדש את‬
‫האומה היהודית במולדת אבותיהם לא רק כמקלט בטוח מאנטישמיות אלא גם כדי שנוכל לבטא את הערכים הלאומיים‪ ,‬התרבות‬

‫אכן ‪ 2000‬שנים של כמיהה לשוב לארץ ישראל קיבלו השראה מחזון יצירת חברה של מצוינות אתית ומוסרית חדורה בחכמה וערכים‬
‫יהודיים‪" .‬אש תל אביב" לקח על עצמו את המשימה הזאת של השראת והעצמת מנהיגי העתיד וההווה של ישראל מהעולם העסקי‪,‬‬
‫החברתי והתרבותי ולהראות להם את הדרך לעבר המטרה המשמעותית והמכריעה הזו‪.‬‬

‫אביב"‪ .‬תמיכתכם והשותפות שלכם מוערכות עד מאד על ידי צוות "אש תל אביב"‪.‬‬
‫אירוע הגאלה הזה הוא בהחלט צעד ענק לעבר הגשמת החזון שלנו ‪ -‬של חברה ישראלית מודרנית חדורה בחכמת וערכי המורשת‬
‫שלנו‪.‬‬
‫חברים יקרים‪ ,‬עומדים אנו בערב מיוחד מאוד של הוקרה של אנשי עשיה מהמובילים בתחומם שאת כל מעשיהם עושים בעוז‬
‫ובאמונה‪ ,‬ביושר וכבוד לכל אדם באשר הוא ובעצם במעשיהם מובילים ומשמשים דוגמא ומופת למנהיגות יהודית ערכית ועסקית‬
‫כאחד‪.‬‬
‫ביום יום אנחנו מתלוננים הרבה על שחיתות‪ ,‬ועל האלימות שגואה‪ ,‬ועל תאונות הדרכים‪ ,‬ובכלל על התחושה העגומה הזאת של אדם‬
‫לאדם זאב‪ ...‬ואני שומע אותם מאז שאני ילד ועד היום‪ ,‬ואם נחשוב ביחד יש פתרון אחד לכל הבעיות האלה וזה‪" :‬החינוך"‪.‬‬
‫לפני שנים נשאלתי למה הלכתי לחינוך?! )שאלה לגיטימית בזמן שאני בא ממשפחת רופאים מכל התחומים(‪ ,‬והאמת שזאת שאלה‬
‫מצוינת‪ ,‬שאלה ששאלתי את עצמי לפני שהתחלתי בנתיב בו אני הולך ועד היום שאני מתעורר בבוקר‪.‬‬
‫אז למה???‬
‫התשובה נמצאת באנשים המכובדים שתראו הערב ובארגון "אש תל אביב" היקר לי מפז שבחיי היום יום ומההתנהלות‬
‫האדמיניסטרטיבית ועד למילים שיוצאים לרבנים מהפה בשיעור‪ ,‬הם מחנכים לזה ומעודדים כל אדם להרגיש ולחיות את זה‪ ,‬וזה‬
‫מתומצת במשפט שקראתי בצבא רגע לפני שהשתחררתי והוא‪:‬‬
‫)‪“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” (Mahatma Gandi‬‬
‫ובמילים של חז"ל ‪" :‬אין הדבר תלוי אלא בי"‬
‫כולנו רוצים עולם טוב יותר לילדינו בואו תעזרו לנו ליצור אותו ‪...‬‬
‫בואו היו שותפים לחינוך יומיומי למסר של אחדות ויושר‪ ,‬מנהיגות ערכית ומוסרית‪ ,‬בואו היו חלק מהשינוי לעולם שבנוי על כבוד וטוב‬
‫לב של האדם בואו להיות שותפים לשינוי הנכסף‪" -‬כי אין הדבר תלוי אלא בי"‪.‬‬

‫סיון נולדה בישראל וגדלה בצרפת‪ .‬מזה ‪ 10‬שנים עובדת סיון באפריקה‪.‬‬
‫עבודתה ביבשת אפריקה החלה עוד ב‪ 1999-‬כאשר עבדה בתאגיד בינלאומי מוביל הפעיל ביבשת‪.‬‬
‫לאחר שעבדה כשנתיים בעולם הפיננסי הצטרפה לתכנית הפיתוח של האו"ם ‪ UNDP‬והתמקדה‬
‫בנושא של פיתוח אנרגיית דיזל‪.‬‬
‫בשלב זה הבינה סיון את חשיבות מציאת פתרון בר‪-‬קיימא לאנרגיה והחלה לפתח את התשתית למה‬
‫שיהפוך במהרה ל‪.Innovation: Africa-‬‬
‫סיון סיימה בהצטיינות תואר במימון מאוניברסיטת פייס בניו יורק והיא בעלת תואר שני בניהול אנרגיה‬
‫בינלאומי ומדיניות ציבורית מבית הספר ליחסים ציבוריים ובינלאומיים של אוניברסיטת קולומביה‪.‬‬
‫אות העשייה הציבורית‬
‫משה כחלון‬
‫משה כחלון הוא יושב ראש המרכז לרפורמות ומנהיגות במכללה האקדמית נתניה‪ ,‬שהוקם ביוני‬
‫‪ .2013‬המרכז עוסק בגיבוש תכניות ויוזמות‪ ,‬להסרת חסמים בירוקרטים ואחרים‪ ,‬לשיפור החברה‪,‬‬
‫הכלכלה‪ ,‬השלטון והחיים בישראל‪ ,‬וזאת בעזרת קבוצת חוקרים‪ ,‬אנשי אקדמיה ומומחים מתחום‬
‫העשייה הציבורית והפרטית‪.‬‬
‫בשנת ‪ 2003‬נבחר לכנסת וכיהן כסגן יו"ר הכנסת‪ .‬בשנים ‪ 2006-2007‬כיהן כיו"ר ועדת הכלכלה‪ .‬במהלך‬
‫שנים אלה עמד בראש ועדת חקירה פרלמנטרית לנושא עמלות הבנקים‪ .‬כתוצאה‪ ,‬בשנת ‪ 2007‬חוקק‬
‫תיקון לחוק הבנקאות‪ ,‬שהביא עמו צמצום לכדי שליש במספר העמלות בשירותים הצרכניים‪.‬‬
‫בחודש מרץ ‪ 2009‬מונה לתפקיד שר התקשורת‪ .‬במהלך כהונתו קידם שינויים מרחיקי לכת בשוק‬
‫התקשורת המקומי‪ ,‬שנועדו להגברת התחרות‪ .‬בינואר ‪ 2011‬מונה גם לשר הרווחה‪.‬‬
‫למר כחלון תואר בוגר אוניברסיטה במדע המדינה ולימודים כלליים באוניברסיטת חיפה ותואר בוגר‬
‫במשפטים במכללה האקדמית נתניה‪ .‬כמו כן הוא בוגר קורס ‪ AMP‬לניהול מתקדם באוניברסיטת‬
‫הרווארד )‪. (AMP 184, 2013‬‬
‫מר כחלון קיבל אותות מופת שונות וביניהם של תנועת אומ"ץ‪ ,‬על גילוי רגישות לצרכי הפרט ומאבקו‬
‫למען החוליות החלשות בחברה ועל עמידתו הנחרצת מול אילי ההון‪ ,‬אות אייסף לתרומה מיוחדת‬
‫לחברה ולקהילה לצמצום פערים חברתיים ותואר "אביר איכות השלטון" על פועלו להפעלת רפורמות‬
‫שנועדו לשפר את מעמד הצרכן‪.‬‬

‫מר גבאי עלה לארץ בשנת ‪ 1951‬עם העלייה הגדולה מעיראק‪ .‬כרו"ח שעבד ב‪Whinney, Murray & Co-‬‬
‫יו"ר הדירקטוריון ובעל השליטה בקבוצת ‪ IES‬העוסקת בפיננסים‪ ,‬נדל"ן‪ ,‬תשתיות ותעשייה ונסחרת‬
‫בבורסה בת"א בשווי של כ‪ 600 -‬מיליון שקל‪ .‬גייר החל את הקריירה שלו כמתמחה במשרד רו"ח פורר‬
‫)לימים קוסט פורר‪ ,‬ולימים ‪.(Ernst & Young‬‬

‫עוד בבגדאד הוא השתלב בסניף של החברה בחיפה יומיים לאחר עלייתו‪.‬‬

‫בנובמבר ‪ 1959‬החליטו הזוג גבאי לפתוח פרקטיקה פרטית‪.‬‬
‫במהרה הפך רו"ח גבאי למומחה בתחום ביקורת וחשבונאות של חברות הביטוח והבנקים וכיום גם‬
‫בתחום הפנסיה ושוקי ההון‪.‬‬
‫ב‪ 1998-‬התמזג משרד גבאי עם משרד רו"ח קוסט‪-‬לב‪-‬ארי‪-‬פורר שהתמזג עוד קודם לכן ב ‪ 1994‬עם‬
‫ארנסט אנד יאנג‪.‬‬
‫מ‪ 2003-‬נקראת הפירמה בישראל ארנסט אנד יאנג ‪ -‬קוסט פורר גבאי את קסירר‪.‬‬
‫מר גבאי פעיל מאד למען החברה בישראל‪ .‬הוא משמש מזה שנים רבות כיו"ר הקרן לקידום החינוך‬
‫בישראל )מיסודה של הקרן לקידום החינוך בקרב יוצאי עיראק בישראל(‪ ,‬כמו כן הוא תומך בארגונים‬
‫שונים וביניהם המכללה החרדית בירושלים וארגון אש תל אביב‪.‬‬
‫מאז ובמשך ‪ 25‬שנות קריירה הוביל והיה מעורב בשורה של עסקאות בהיקפים של מיליארדים‬
‫בתחומי הנדל"ן‪ ,‬התעשייה‪ ,‬התיירות‪ ,‬המזון והאנרגיה‪ .‬גייר שימש כבעל שליטה או שותף בלא פחות‬
‫מ‪ 17-‬חברות ציבוריות וכעת פועל להקמת תחנת כוח בהשקעה של ‪ 2‬מיליארד שקל וכן את ‪Air Park‬‬
‫ פרויקט להקמת מתקן ייחודי וראשון מסוגו במזרח התיכון לאחסון ושימור מטוסים‪.‬‬‫פארק התעשייה בפלמחים אשר בבעלותו נהנה מתפוסה גבוהה של שוכרים בתחומי התעשייה‬
‫והלוגיסטיקה‪ ,‬ובשטחו )כ‪ 300-‬דונם( פועלים גם מתקן התפלה והחברה התעשייתית ספנקריט‬
‫הצומחת בקצב גבוה ונהנית מתנופת הבנייה בישראל‪.‬‬
‫מר גייר‪ ,‬למד בישיבה התיכונית נתיב מאיר בירושלים‪ ,‬בעל תואר ראשון בהצטיינות בכלכלה‬
‫וחשבונאות‪ ,‬ולימודי תואר שני במימון מאוניברסיטת בן גוריון‪ .‬הוא נשוי לנועה‪ ,‬עורכת דין ולבני הזוג‬
‫חמישה ילדים‪.‬‬

‫חברי היקרים‪,‬‬
‫רבים מכם יודעים שאף על פי שאני חבר פעיל בקהילה היהודית הרחבה אינני מה שמכונה תלמיד חכם‪ .‬אני לומד עם הרב דיויד‬
‫זירינג‪ ,‬מנכ"ל אש תל אביב‪ ,‬אך ברמה התחלתית ובקצב די איטי‪ .‬אנחנו תלמידי אש‪ ,‬כל אחד מאתנו וסיבותיו שלו להתמיד בלימודים‬
‫אלה בשלב כל כך מאוחר בחיינו‪ .‬במקרה שלי יש לי תשוקה לקריאה והבנה של ההיסטוריה ללא קשר לעידן ולאזור הגיאוגרפי‪.‬‬
‫אני יודע שמערכת החוקים המשולבת שלנו ופירושיהם הרבניים היוו את הבסיס )יחד עם אלה של היוונים( בעיצוב הדמוקרטיה‬
‫והציוויליזציה המערבית כפי שאנו מכירים‪ .‬הקשר זה של הבנת החוקים והמצוות שלנו מסייע לי להבין את התמונה הרחבה יותר‪.‬‬
‫אלי ויזל‬
‫כל חיי הבוגרים הייתי לצד ישראלים‪ ,‬גם בפאלו אלטו וגם כמובן‪ ,‬כאן בישראל‪ .‬אני יודע שבני הדור שלי למדו תלמוד‪/‬תורה כחלק‬
‫מהחינוך החילוני בבית הספר בישראל שכן הם מצטטים לעיתים תכופות טקסטים רבניים שונים באיזה הקשר רלוונטי במהלך‬
‫דיוניהם הרבים‪ .‬בין אם ישראלים אלו‪ ,‬שרבים מהם חיים חיים חילוניים‪ ,‬גרים בישראל או קליפורניה‪ ,‬הייתי עד לקשר החזק שלהם‬
‫לישראל ולתורת חכמנו‪ .‬יחד עם זאת‪ ,‬אני גם רואה שהדור של הילדים שלי שגדלים במערכת החינוך החילונית בישראל אינם‬
‫לומדים על תלמוד‪/‬תורה‪ .‬ראיתי ממקור ראשון‪ ,‬את ההשלכות המסוכנות של תופעה זו לא רק כאן בישראל אלא גם בקמפוסים של‬
‫אוניברסיטאות בארה"ב‪ .‬סטודנטים ישראלים הגדלים בחוסר ידע משווע לא רק בזים לכל מה שקשור לתורה אלא גם למה שקשור‬
‫לישראל ולציונות‪.‬‬
‫אני מאמין שלמען עתיד בריא חשוב לא רק שנשלב את הקהילה האולטרא‪-‬חרדית‪ ,‬אלא גם את הקהילה האולטרא‪-‬חילונית‬
‫בהשתתפות פעילה בחברה הישראלית‪ .‬מבעד למשקפיים אלו אני מביט בחשיבות העבודה הנפלאה שעושה צוות ארגון אש תל‬
‫אביב‪ .‬באופן יומיומי מעביר הצוות מגוון שיעורים במרכזים של הארגון או באחד ממשרדי החברות הרבים בהם הם מלמדים תוך שהם‬
‫מעשירים את חייהם של כל התלמידים במגוון דרכים ומציעים חדשנות לא פחות מהקהילה שאותה הם משרתים‪ .‬אני מאמין שהם‬
‫ממלאים חלל משמעותי בהבאת החברה שלנו יחד לעבר מטרה עליונה‪.‬‬

‫המהותיים באופן מרשים במיוחד ומעורר מחשבה‪ .‬אני משתתף באירועים ומפגשים רבים וחזיתי במו עיני בנשים וגברים מרשימים‬
‫ומוצלחים אשר קוראים פרקי אבות ורמב"ם לראשונה בחייהם ומעריכים את ההשלכות של תבונה ללא גבולות זמן בעולם המודרני כיום‪.‬‬

‫ד"ר אריק ר‪ .‬סירקין‬
‫במרוצת השנים דיויד ורבקה היו מעורבים במגוון רחב של יוזמות חשובות בארה"ב ובישראל‪.‬‬
‫ד"ר סירקין הוא אחד המנהלים והטכנולוגים המבריקים ביותר‪ ,‬הוא עובד עם חברות פורטפוליו‬
‫תוך מסירות יוצאת מן הכלל לארגונים המעודדים אינטראקציה בין הקבוצות השונות בקהילות‬
‫ומסייע להן בכל ההיבטים החל מתכנון‪ ,‬פיתוח עסקי‪ ,‬שיווק וייצור‪ .‬ד"ר סירקין שימש בתפקידים‬
‫היהודיות‪ .‬הזוג לוי עשו עליה מניו ג'רזי לרעננה בשנת ‪ ,2005‬והביאו איתם תשוקה ללימוד תורה‬

‫לכימיה באוניברסיטת ברקלי )שם גם נבחר כעמית של נשיא האוניברסיטה בתחום הכימיה(‪ .‬סירקין‬
‫של הארגון‪ .‬רבקה היא פעילה בתכניות נוער בעיר רעננה למען בית הכנסת שלהם‪ ,‬בתי הספר‬
‫סיים את הפוסט‪-‬דוקטורט שלו במחלקה לכימיה פיסית באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים‪.‬‬

‫שניהם הורים גאים לשלושה בנים‪.‬‬

‫ארגון אש תל אביב נמצא היום בתהליכי פיתוח והתרחבות דינמיים עד מאד‪ .‬במהלך שש השנים האחרונות השקענו מאמצים‬
‫רבים בהשרשת ערכי הליבה היהודיים באמצעות סדנאות שונות והרצאות במרכזי הארגון‪ .‬פעילותינו בתל אביב‪ ,‬הבירה הכלכלית‬
‫והתרבותית המובילה בישראל‪ ,‬הפכו את אש תל אביב לאחד מהארגונים היהודיים ללא מטרות רווח המובילים בישראל‪.‬‬
‫באש תל אביב אנו מחויבים לזהות את דור העתיד של מנהיגים ישראליים‪ ,‬לעורר בהם השראה ולהעניק להם מסגרת של תכניות חינוך‬
‫יהודי‪ .‬בד בבד באמצעות הרצאות ומפגשים מרתקים אנו מפתחים אף יותר את כישורי המנהיגות שלהם ומספקים להם אפשרויות‬
‫מגוונות של יצירת רשת חברתית ועסקית על מנת לתרום להיותם מנהיגים משפיעים בקרב הקהילה היהודית הרחבה המחויבת‬
‫לתיקון עולם בישראל ומחוצה לה‪.‬‬
‫ערב הגאלה השנה הוא מאמץ לגיוס משאבים על מנת למקסם את יכולתו של אש תל אביב לחזק את החברה הישראלית על ידי‬
‫העצמה ועידוד מנהיגים להגביר את המודעות לזהות היהודית בקרב החברה וכן לקחת אחריות ולהתמודד עם האתגרים העומדים‬
‫כיום בפני מדינת ישראל‪.‬‬

‫בתל אביב תוך ייזום מגוון פעילויות ושיעורים במרכזי הארגון ויצירת‬
‫דיאלוג פורה בין דתיים וחילונים‪.‬‬
‫מרכז העולם היהודי הוא בישראל ומרכזה הכלכלי והתרבותי של ישראל‬
‫הוא תל אביב שמושכת אליה המוני צעירים שאפתניים‪ ,‬שיהפכו למנהיגיה‬
‫העתידיים של המדינה בכל התחומים‪.‬‬
‫בעוד השגייה הכלכליים של העיר הם מקור גאווה ליהודים סביב העולם‪,‬‬
‫רבים חשים כי העיר המודרנית הזו מאבדת קשר עם הערכים היהודיים‬
‫כמו ערבות הדדית ואחדות אשר עזרו לעצב את מדינת ישראל‪ .‬בעת שבה‬
‫פוסט ציונות ורגשות אנטי דתיים נמצאים בשיאם‪ ,‬אש תל אביב מעודד‬
‫מנהיגים לקחת אחריות חברתית ולחזק את החברה האזרחית באמצעות‬
‫אימוץ מורשת העם היהודי והכרה בתפקידו‪.‬‬
