spring semester instead of a freshman elective if they do not place out of Writing 1.
*3 Humanities & Social Science electives: 18 H/SS units required; all may be taken Pass/Fail. H/SS courses include: All Art courses from depts
F10/F20, and any A&S, Arch, or Business courses tagged with an “EN: S” or “EN: H” attribute.
*4 En Math “A”/318 and “B”/319 may be taken simultaneously OR in *any* order, provided student has completed Differential Equations.
*5 At least 45 topics units required for the BSEE degree. Please refer to the table of Topics Units (TU) provided on the ESS website.
*6 9 units in engineering or science outside electrical engineering required. These units must be taken in following areas: BME, ChE, CS, MechE,
economics, math, physics, biology, chemistry, earth & planetary science, pre-medicine.
*7 Two upper-level lab courses (6 units) from following list: ESE 331, ESE 435, ESE 447, ESE 448, ESE 465, ESE488
