Welcome to the Twenty-Eighth Annual New England Club
Managers Meador Scholarship Tournament! We cannot thank
you...the supporters, enough for making this year’s event so special.
Each year, proceeds from the tournament directly benefit the NECMA
David Meador Education and Scholarship Foundation, which awards
scholarships to students and assists with funding education for the
chapter.
We are pleased to welcome some new sponsors and friends this year,
and hope that you will continue to support this wonderful event in the
future. For those who have been longtime supporters of our
association, we thank you for your dedication to this important event
and we are pleased and proud that you are again part of it.
NECMA would like to extend a very special THANK YOU to Kevin
Callahan, Clubhouse Manager, his entire staff and to the membership at
Rhode Island Country Club for hosting this year’s event.
We are also very grateful to everyone who worked very hard to make
this event what it is today and for making this year’s event a success—in
particular, our committee Dee Curran, Brian Lynch, Jason Silbovitz ,
Edilson Fiametti and Laura Ryan, Managing Director of NECMA. Their
support and assistance in preparing for this year’s event was invaluable.
We’d like to also thank all the NECMA Managers who assisted with
finding new sponsors and also acquiring live auction/raffle item
donations. Also a thank you to the students of the University of Massachusetts student chapter of NECMA for their day of tournament help.
The New England Club Managers Association was founded in 1914 and
is the only association representing the private club management
profession. Our active membership consists of over 225 professional
managers/Chief Operating Officers who manage nearly 150 private
country, city, university, yacht, athletic and corporate clubs in the states
of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
The Association's objectives are to provide education to persons
connected with the management of clubs and other associations of
similar character, to promote and encourage efficient and successful
club management, and to advance friendly relations among its
members.
