BOHINJ GUEST CARD
Tourism Bohinj and Municipality Bohinj are offering visitors a special card
intended for anyone spending at least two nights in Bohinj. The card is also
intended for the owners of holiday homes and apartments who pay tourist
tax in an annual lump sum in compliance with the Promotion of Tourism
Development Act and the Decision on Tourist Taxes in the Municipality of
Bohinj. On the condition of an uninterrupted stay, the benefits of the card
can be enjoyed from 1 April to 31 October. Guests in Bohinj can buy or obtain from their host the “Guest of Bohinj” card, which in addition to other
benefits offers free parking. The card can also be purchased by hosts for
their guests, provided they show evidence that their guests are registered.

Bohinj Guest Card has been included in cooperation with AMZS Slovenia in
the programme ARC Europe Show Your Card. This is a joint programme
that is organized by eightleading European car clubs which offer their
members different benefits (tourism, accommodation, restaurants, etc.).
The members can get information in the clubs´ magazines, which more than
18 million people read every month. The members of these clubs have 10
% discount on the purchase of the Bohinj Guest Card providing that they
spend at least two nights in one of the possible accommodation facilities
in Bohinj.

PAYING FOR PARKING WITH THE BOHINJ GUEST CARD
At parking places equipped with payment machines, the guest simply inserts the card once a day into the payment machine, which
then issues a confirmation ticket with the date. This ticket can be
used multiple times a day for parking at various marked parking
places. At the car park with the blue zone and payment machine (in
front of the post office at Rib~ev Laz and In front of cultural house
in Stara Fužina), guests must once again insert the card into the
machine, which issues a new ticket with the date and the time up
to which parking is permitted. Parking is permitted for one hour
in the blue zone.
The card is programmed so that during their stay, guests can park
for free at all marked parking places and additionally for one hour
a day in the blue zone.
At marked parking places where there is no payment machine,
guests must show their valid card, which gives their car licence
number and the time and place of their stay in Bohinj, to the parking attendant.
TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK
The Triglav National Park is a supreme example of natural and
cultural heritage. It is also one of the oldest national parks in
Europe and it is the only national park in Slovenia. A large part of
the Bohinj region with its outstanding natural beauty lies within the
park. Entering a national park, we have to be aware that this is the
most delicately balanced ecosystem, where special attention must
be paid to the nature.
