The motor also can be made into other voltage class or frequency on request of the user. All the technical data in this sample book is under the frequency of 50Hz. 2 0EE.138.176-2007 4. Insulation class and temperature rise limit value The insulation class of the motor usually uses F class of insulation. The temperature rise limit value of the motor which winding indirect cooled by air: On the basis of motor operating site altitude above sea level not exceed 1000m and max. ambient temperature not exceed 40℃, the temperature rise limit value of class B insulation is 80K, and 105K for F class of insulation. 5. Bearing construction type and temperature limit value The motors are provided with rolling bearings and sleeve bearings, which construction type of bearing can be decided according to overall and mounting dimensions data sheet, normal product with sleeve bearing construction use forced lubrication, but also can be made into self-lubrication according to request; the motor rolling bearing permitted temperature shall not exceed 95℃, the permitted temperature for sleeve bearing with forced lubrication shall not exceed 80℃ and for sleeve bearing with self lubrication not exceed 95℃. 6. Degree of protection Degree of protection by enclosure of motor is IP44, IP54 and IP55 according to the different operating conditions of the motor, the meaning explanation of the feature as follows: The marking of protection degree is composed of expression letters (“IP”) and two suffixal expression numbers, the first number means each degree of the first kind of protection and the second number means each degree of the second kind of protection. IP 5 4 The second expression number:represents the protection degree of harmful influence caused by water entering into enclosure(water-proof degree) The first expression number:represents the protection degree of people to enclosure and to internal parts in enclosure(dust-proof degree) Expression letters Brief introduction of the meaning of expression number“4”and“5”in degree of protection: The first expression number“4”means the motor can prevent the solid body more than 1mm from entering into it; The first expression number “5” means the enclosure can prevent from touching or closing the charged or rotating parts in it, the enclosure can’t completely prevent dust 3 0EE.138.176-2007 from entering into it, but the quantity of the entering dust isn’t enough to affect the normal operation of the motor. The second expression number“4”means the harmful influence should not be caused when the motor bears the splash from any direction (splash-proof motor). The second expression number“5”means the harmful influence should not be caused when the motor bears the spray from any direction (spray-proof motor). For detail knowledge related to degree of protection see GB4942.1. 7. Cooling method The marking of cooling method is composed of symbol letters “IC” and following numbers, “IC” is abbreviation of English word “International Cooling”. The cooling method of Y2 series of high-voltage compact type three-phase induction motors is IC411, the meaning of letters and numbers as follows: IC 4 1 1 `Symbol letters Arrangement of cooling circuit Driving method of primary coolant motion Driving method of secondary coolant motion Arrangement of cooling circuit:4 represents cooling at surface of frame Coolant motion driving method: 1 represents self-circulation: cooling medium motion related to motor rotating speed, usually by fan mounted on the rotor. Coolant: divided into primary coolant and secondary coolant, coolant usually use air (A) and water (W), etc. Primary coolant: a medium, liquid or gas, which, being at a lower temperature than a part of a machine and in contact with it, removes heat from that part. Second coolant: a medium, liquid or gas, which, being at a lower temperature than the primary coolant, removes the heat given up by this primary coolant by means of a heat exchanger or through the external surface of the machine. 8. Weather-protected type and operation environment conditions 1)Weather-proof types are: a. Damp and tropical climate type, indoor (TH); outdoor (THW); b. Dry and tropical climate type, indoor (TA); outdoor (TAW); c. Tropical climate type, indoor (T); outdoor (TW) d. Outdoor light corrosion-proof type (W) e. Outdoor middle corrosion-proof type (WF1) 4 0EE.138.176-2007 f. Outdoor strong corrosion-proof type (WF2) g. Indoor middle corrosion-proof type (F1) h. Indoor strong corrosion-proof type (F2) The protection type mentioned above shall be marked at the end of motor type, for example: Y2 5001-4WF1. 2)The operating environmental conditions of each whether-proof type motor under different locations are as follows: a. Operating environment conditions include: climatic conditions (K), special climate conditions (Zh-thermal radiation, Za-surrounding air movement, Zw- water source other than rainfall), biotic conditions (B), chemical active material conditions(C), mechanical active material conditions(S) and mechanical conditions (M) altogether six categories. b. Operating location of the motor can be divided into: Weather protected location: Indoors or have good shield location (the structure construction can prevent or reduce the influence of outdoor climate daily change, include shed condition), the number ahead of environment condition class is “3”, simplified as indoor condition. Non weather protected location: Locations completely in the open air or only has simple cover (can hardly prevent the influence of outdoor climate daily change), the number ahead of environment condition class is “4”. 9. Connection method Connection method of all the high-voltage motor is Y connection. 10. Cable entry In normal condition the motor is provided with rubber sleeve cable entries, and also can provide steel tube connection units or armoured cable fittings according to the user’s request. 11. Duty Duty type of motor is continuous (S1). 12. Performance index allowance Efficiency η:-10%(1-η) Power factor cos φ:-(1-cosφ)/6 Min. absolute value 0.02 Max. absolute value 0.07 Locked-rotor current:+20% of current guaranteed value 5 0EE.138.176-2007 Locked-rotor torque:+25%/-15% of torque guaranteed value (the value of +25% may be exceeded through negotiation ) Min. torque:-15% of torque guaranteed value Max. torque:-10% of torque guaranteed value Ⅲ Operation conditions of motor in site 1. Altitude above sea level of the motor normal operating locations is up to 1000m. 2. The max. ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40℃. 3. The min. ambient air temperature should not be lower than -20℃, the min. ambient air temperature of sleeve bearing motors should not be lower than 0℃. 4.Voltage and frequency allowance value: The motor can continuously operate at area A( voltage deviation is –5%~+5% of rated value, frequency deviation is –2%~+2% of rated value) and reach its basic performance, but the performance in this range differs from that at rated voltage and frequency( see rated point in Fig.1), such as, the temperature rise of motor can be higher than that at rated voltage and frequency. If the motor operate at the border A, the temperature rise can be higher 10℃ than that at rated point. The motor can operate at area B( voltage deviation is –10%~+10% of rated value, frequency deviation is –5%~+3% of rated value) and reach its basic performance, but the performance difference between at point of this area and rated voltage and frequency should be higher than that between at point of area A and rated voltage and frequency, the temperature rise of motor can be higher than that at rated voltage and frequency and can be higher than that at area A. The motor should not continuously operate at the border B. Other electric operation condition of motor should be in accordance with GB755. Fig.1 Limits of voltage and frequency of motor 6 0EE.138.176-2007 Ⅳ Construction features Y2 Series of High-Voltage Compact type Three-phase Induction Motor is the latest-generation motor with high efficiency, energy saving and environmental protecting advantages. It is designed and manufactured on the basis of experiences of years of manufacturing motors, through the analysis of construction field, electromagnetic field, fluid field and compound field by large finite element analysis, and through the principle of double circulated cooling and ventilating system. This series of motors have advantages of small volume, light weight, compact conformation, good appearance and smooth lines etc. 1. Cooling air path, frame and end shield Y2 series of motors has two independent cooling air paths: internal cooling air path and external cooling air path (see Fig.2), most of the loss heat transmit from stator core to motor frame, and then bring away by external cooling air, the rest loss heat transmit to motor frame through internal cooling circuit and take away by external cooling air. Fig. 2 The motor frame use quadrature distributed total cooling fin casting frame, between cooling fins use nonisometric distribution and discentric circle combination method, 4 axial air duct are provided at 45°direction. Because of the motor frame has reduced scale, outer cooling air from non-driving end can reach to driving end more effectively through cooling fins, so as to achieve the best cooling effect. The terminal box is located at upper motor side where air duct has placed in order to not influence heat dissipation and the flowing of cooling air. The frame inner surface around stator winding end provided with heat absorption rib. Frame enough large area of dissipation with rib type construction guaranteed powerful heat sinking ability. Two lifting rings are opposite angle mounted on the air duct (the angle of lifting rings can be random adjusted) to make the motor hoisting more convenient. The end shield of driving end and non-driving end has the same structure; heat sinking rib is provided for inner and outer of end shield to enhance the end shield stiffness and heat 7 0EE.138.176-2007 sinking ability. High strength casting iron motor frame and end shield ensured the motor has high stability. 2 Low noise fan On the precondition of the cooling effect has been satisfied, the fan and fan cover use streamline design construction, so as to improve fan efficiency and reduce fan noise. External fan: 2 poles: propeller type axial fans (unidirectional rotation); shaft height H355-H400, 4 poles and above motor use convex centrifugal fan and can be bidirectional rotated. H450 and above, 4 poles motor use backward tilting type centrifugal fan, only suitable for one direction of rotation; motors with other poles use convex centrifugal fan and suitable for both directions. Internal fan: Radial centrifugal fan (can be bidirectional rotated). 3 Stator The motor has a laminated core first compressed and secured before it is fitted into the frame and then pressed into the machined frame.The stator windings are class F insulated, anticorona treatment(10kV),the ends of windings are boneded and fixed firmly, and the windings are vacuum pressure impregnated with solventless varnish. Therefore, the motors have good and reliable insulating performance, higher mechanical strength, long service life,as well as higher moisture-resistance, corrosion resistance and anticorona ability. 4 Rotor The further aim of this series of motors is cast aluminum rotor technology, which has already proved to be successful in millions of low-voltage and high-voltage motors and then popularized to large capacity motor. The rotor busbar and short circuit ring casting into an integral part. This technology ensured the solidity of the structure and the unique stability of the cast rotor. Use centrifugal cast aluminum technique pouring the liquid state aluminum into rotor lamination core slot, the mould is pouring at one shot, the short circuit ring and the busbar are pouring at the same time. 5 Bearing There are two kinds of bearings: rolling bearings and sleeve bearings. Usually the motor use rolling bearings, sleeve bearings are used for motors which the service conditions (depending on rotating speed, load and operating conditions) exceed the limit value. The DE and NDE bearings for standard designed motor H500-2 (3kV、6kV、10kV) and H560-2(3kV、6kV、10kV)are end-shield type spherical sleeve bearings, forced lubrication and the insulation treatment is provided for NDE. Permit axial play at free state is ±5mm, in this case the motor rotor and shaft system must be axial located by “caging device” on driven 8 0EE.138.176-2007 equipment. H500-2(10kV) also has rolling bearings; other motors use rolling bearings and have oil inlet and outlet device(without shutdown the motor), can fill up the lubrication grease and discharge the waste grease during motor operation. 6 Terminal box According to the different explosion-proof requirement, the terminal box for main power supply is increased-safety type steel plate tension terminal box, and has the advantage of beautiful appearance, lower weight, suitable for motors with 3kV, 6kV and 10kV voltage, and high generalization degree. Standard designed motor have two terminal boxes, namely main terminal box and auxiliary terminal box. The main terminal box can be mounted at four different positions on motor frame ventilating slot in order to meet the different connection requirement at site. If there is no special requirement, the main terminal box should located at DE right upper side (viewed from motor shaft extension end), cable inlet from bottom. The auxiliary terminal box is located at NDE right upper side (viewed from motor shaft extension end), cable inlet from bottom. 7 Monitoring and protection Standard designed motors provided with these monitoring and protection devices: stator winding temperature detector platinum resistance PT100, bearing temperature detector platinum resistance PT100 and anti-condensation space heater. All the connecting wire of temperature detector and heater are connected into the connecting terminals of auxiliary terminal box. The threaded interface also can be supplied,and the dimension of which is G3. The stator temperature detector, bearing temperature detector and heater are share one auxiliary terminal box, there are three interface. For the inner diameter of seal ring of cable entry, see above diagram. The threaded interface also can be supplied, and the dimension of which is M24×2. 14 0EE.138.177.2007 4 The wiring diagram of terminal box for main power supply, stator temperature detector, bearing temperature detector and heater see following diagram: Ⅷ Ordering information 1. When selecting three-phase induction motors, the following matters must be taken into account: a. Operating environment, ambient temperature, altitude, etc. b.Mechanical characteristic and moment of inertia for the driven device. c. Starting method, starting frequency and starting voltage drop d.Direction of rotation of motor e. The mechenical connetion method and requirement between motor and driven load f. The position of terminal box. g.Duty type and other special requirement 2. Motors supplied in the Sample book are standard motor design a. The altitude for standard motor is not more than 1000m b. The max. ambient temperature is not more than 40℃,and the min. is not lower than -20℃, for motor of sleeve bearing or air-to-water cooling, the min. ambient temperature is not lower than 0℃. c. Direct on line and full voltage starting d. CW. rotated for standard motors (as viewed from DE) e. the main and auxiliary terminal boxes are on the right side of motor ( as viewed from DE) f. For the standard designed motors of sleeve bearings, normally provided with forced lubrication and no pressure oil return. 15 0EE.138.177.2007 3. Normal ordering The order without special requirements is normal order, the following parameters should be noted when ordering.(eg.) Type :Y2 5001-2 Rated voltage:6kV Rated frequency: 50Hz Rated power:800kW No. of poles:2 Rated speed:2985r/min Mounting arrangement: B3 Duty type: S1 Method of cooling: IC411 Degree of protection: IP54 Direction of rotation :CW. Operating environment: indoors Method of incoming line: rubber sleeve 4. Order with additional requirements If there’s one or more requirements for the following items, it should be declared in ordering. 4.1 The voltage are not 3000、6000 and 10000V,eg.:3.3kV、6.3kV; 4.2 Frequency is 60Hz; 4.3 Power is not the standard value in data sheet, or coincidence relations between power and mounting demension are different from data sheet. 4.4 The altitude above sea level is more than 1000m. 4.5 Ambient temperature:more than 40℃, or the lowest temperature is less than -20℃. 4.6 Low noise: the noise is lower than the specification of GB10069 4.7Non-standard mounting arrangement: corrsponding relations between frame size and mounting arrangement are different from data sheet. 4.8 The special environment needing declaring,for example: humid tropics, outdoors, corrosion, salt spray, mold, dust and blown sand, etc., for corrosion, it must be listed for taking corresponding measures according to the corrosiveness. 4.9 The direction of rotation of motor is CCW. 4.10 The special requirement for electric performance, eg: high locked-rotor torque, high slip, high moment of inertia and low locked-rotor current, etc. 4.11 Other special requirements, eg.: protective relay device ( temperature monitoring device for winding and bearing, differential protection), special bearing, special packing and spare parts ahead of specification,etc. 4.12 If there’s above special requirements and other requirements, please negotiate with our technical department or sign technical agreement. 4.13 With technical development of products and revisal of relevant standards at home and aboard, technical data shown herein are subject to change without notice. 16
