Grab a quick breakfast before we head out for our day of fishing. 6:30am – Walleye Fishing. Rice Lake area lakes are noted for musky, walleye, crappie, bass and bluegill. The best way to enjoy the area’s outstanding fishing is getting out when the fish are biting—and that means being on the water early. The most consistent fishing year-round comes from the area’s bluegill and crappie populations. Musky fishing on area lakes is very good. Bass fishing in the area is exceptional—both largemouth and smallmouth populations are strong. But walleye probably bring more anglers to the Rice Lake area than any other fish species— and for good reason: the fishing is excellent, with large numbers of trophy-sized fish. We’ll fish for walleye this morning. Noon – Lunch. We’ll head back to the dock and go grab lunch. Afternoon – Bass Fishing. For bass fishing action, you can’t beat Rice Lake. Both largemouth and smallmouth bass are numerous on area lakes.
