A NEW NAME AND A NEW FACE
Forus Elektro Automatikk in Stavanger and Mjøndalen, Elmoko at Kongsvinger in Norway and
Elektromarine in Skagen Denmark gather under the same name ELCOR.
Elcor is a contraction of the words ‘Electro’ and ‘Core’ and the name emphasises, that we deliver the
core of large electrical systems – e.g. the very heart of offshore and maritime installations, ships and
onshore buildings and constructions.
The change of name stems from our decision to team up with Kongsvinger-based Elmoko and
Elektromarine AS in Denmark so as to become the biggest supplier of electrical panels in Scandinavia.
Given that we now have departments based outside of Norway as well, we feel it is important to
operate under one international name – hence, ELCOR!
