For this task you must assume that the YL’s utternaces are phonologically accurate.
Part 1
Examiner: Hello! What’s your name?
YL: Sven.
E: Sven, Look at these pictures. The look the same but they are different. In this
picture the boy’s coat is red but in this picture the boy’s coat is yellow. Now, you
continue…(gesture)
Sven: I see cat and here bird. I see potatoes but here burger. Cloudy here but sun
here. Three legs, four legs.
Part 2
E: Sven, here is a story. I will start the the story and you can finish the story. ‘Fred is
sad. He can’t play football. His ball is very old. His mum is saying ‘Take the dog to the
park’
YL: Take dog and near tree…(2 seconds pause)…there is a bag. Dog see bag and
then Fred. Mother call person and in the bag, box there is the football.
Part 3
E: Sven, here are 4 pictures. One picture is different. The book is different. A lemon,
pineapple and orange are fruit. A book is not a fruit. Now, you continue.
YL: This is different. (Indicates the TV picture)
E: Why?
YL: It is not dancing.
E: Good.
YL: This is different. (Indicates jumper)
E: Why?
YL: These animals.
E: And this?
YL: This different. (Indicates picture 1 of row 4)
E: Why?
YL: This mouse. This, this and this….not animals.
Part 4
E: Sven, where do you go to school?
YL: Here.
E: What is your teacher’s name?
YL: Marie.
E: Who is your friend?
YL: (Blank look)
E: Do you have friends?
YL: (Blank look)
E: What are your hobbies?
YL: Playstation.
E: Good. What other hobbies do you have?
YL: Swimming.
E: When do you swim?
YL: Pool.
E: Good. Do you swim in the morning?
YL: No. Friday.
E: Thankyou Sven. That is the end of the test. Goodbye.
