With spring and warm weather
just around the corner, it is
important to remind everyone of
a few things that our insurance
does not cover. High risk behaviors can create high-risk situations for your pocket book. Our
health insurance plan does not
cover activities that are deemed
dangerous such as bungee cord
jumps, sky diving, hang gliding,
competitive racing, parachuting
etc. For a full list of exclusions,
see your Summary Plan
Description of your health plan.
Update from Human
Resources
The support services survey that
was held last year will be conducted twice in 2014, and will be
available online. Details will be
shared with your department
director and the first survey will
be sent out this month.
Thanks to HVCH
by Jim McLin
Last August began a long and
painful journey for me. After 3
abdominal surgeries, pancreatitis, a kidney stone, and anemia, I
am finally back to work. Even
though I had over 500 hours of
sick time accumulated it was not
enough to cover the time I needed to recover. Luckily, HVCH
allows employees to donate sick
time to others in need. To all of
you who donated I personally
thank you. Removing the worry
of running out of sick time was
more helpful in my recovery than
you can imagine.Thank you so
much for your generosity!
Happy Easter April 20!
