I Greenhouse kan nya talanger visa sina prototyper och träffa producenter i möbel- och
belysningsbranschen. Fria formgivare och designskolor från hela världen bjuds in att söka
och en jury gör sedan det slutgiltiga urvalet. I år deltar 36 formgivare och 36 designskolor
från 16 länder.
Note Design Studio, som utformar hallen för andra året i rad, vill belysa den sociala aspekten av
att ställa ut i Greenhouse. – Greenhouse är en utställningshall men också en jättelik mötesplats.
Vi fascineras av fenomenet att folk från hela världen kommer och lever design tillsammans
under några dagar. Man talar om kvalitet, färg, form och material, men missar ofta att uppmärksamma den sociala aspekten. Varifrån deltagarna än kommer, har alla packat, rest hit och nu
slagit ner sina bopålar för att under några få men
intensiva dagar ta del äventyret, säger
Johannes Carlström, Note Design Studio.
Ett stort tält i mitten är den naturliga mötesplatsen i årets upplaga av Greenhouse. Tältet är ritat
tillsammans med Nyréns Arkitektkontor.
Note står också för utformningen av Greenhouseutställningen som visar ett urval av produkter som
kommit i produktion de senaste tre åren tack vare
Greenhouse.
Together in Camp Greenhouse
Greenhouse is the place where new talents can showcase their prototypes and meet producers
in the furniture and lighting industry. Independent designers and design colleges from all over the
world were welcome to apply and a jury then makes the final selection. This year 36 designers and
36 design schools from 16 countries are exhibiting.
Note Design Studio, who is behind the design of the hall for the second year in a row, is looking to
highlight the social aspect of exhibiting in the Greenhouse. - Greenhouse is an exhibition hall but
it’s also a gigantic meeting place. We’re fascinated by the phenomenon of people from all around
the world coming here and living design together for a few days. People talk about quality, color,
design and materials, but often fail to draw attention to the social aspect. Wherever the participants come from, all of them have packed their bags, travelled here and settled down to spend a
few intense days sharing the adventure, says Johannes Carlström, Note Design Studio.
A large tent in the middle is the natural place to meet in this year’s Greenhouse edition. The tent
was designed in collaboration with architects Nyréns Arkitektkontor.
Note is also responsible for designing the Greenhouse exhibition, showcasing a selection of
products that have been put into production in the past three years thanks to Greenhouse.
The final selection is made by an expert jury. The members of the 2014 jury were
