WHAT IS ANSI 107-2004?

ANSI 107-2004 is a voluntary industry consensus standard that specifies the requirements for PPE
(personal protective equipment) that is capable of visually signaling the user's presence and represents
a revision to the 1999 version. Before the first publication of this standard in 1999 there was no regulation
or guideline for the design, performance or materials for high-visibility apparel in the United States.
Since 1999, the standard has been recognized by various federal, state and local authorities as well as
private industry entities. The PPE covered by this standard are deemed to be effective at mitigating
struck-by hazards.
Class I: Lowest level of visibility. Generally worn in environments where speeds do not exceed 25 mph.
Requires 215 sq. inches of background fabric and 155 sq. inches of reflective material.
Class II: The most popular style. Commonly worn in environments where traffic is moving in excess of
25 mph. Requires 775 sq. inches of background fabric and 201 sq. inches of reflective material.
Class III: The highest level of visibility. Worn in environments where the traffic is moving in excess of
55 mph. Requires 1240 sq. inches of background fabric and 310 sq. inches of reflective material.

INVOICE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Billing terms are subject to approval based on credit rating. There is a finance charge of 1.5% per month (18%
Annual Percentage Rate) on past due balances. Shipping or billing discrepancies should be reported within five days
for proper resolution.
DELIVERY TIMES
Most Iron Horse Safety products are produced for inventory. Many products are produced to customer
specifications and require additional lead time. Quoted lead times reflect ORDER TO SHIP DATE and do not
include shipping time from the parcel service pick-up.
DELIVERY TERMS
Delivery terms are F.O.B. shipping point including handling charge, unless otherwise noted. Unless you give us
specific shipping instructions, we will use our best judgement to determine the best routing. Merchandise becomes
property of the buyer upon delivery to carrier. Claims should be made to the carrier.
RETURNED GOODS
Please call a Customer Service Agent for a return authorization number within 30 days of receipt of goods. Write this
number clearly on the package you are returning. Items should be returned within 10 days of receiving a number to
insure prompt issuance of a credit. Some orders may be subject to a handling or restocking fee of 15%. Special order
merchandise is NOT RETURNABLE without special authorization. Returned goods must be in resalable condition.
No Credit to be allowed on merchandise returned without permission.
CANCELLATIONS
To cancel an order on in-stock items please call a Sales Representative before the presumed shipping date.
Cancellations of custom orders require permission from an authorized agent of Iron Horse Safety. Custom orders
that have been put into production are not subject to cancellation. A cancellation fee may be incurred for custom
orders cancelled prior to production.

All orders are subject to final approval by an authorized agent of Iron Horse Safety. Prices, terms, delivery and
conditions of sales are subject to change without notice. All orders are subject to credit approval prior to release for
