V1.2, V1.3 Andivi – TRC-D – Technical Manual Installation MOUNTING ON ELECTRIC BOX 1. Separate the back plate from the controller by loosening the cover screw. 2. Align the mounting holes on the screw holes of the electric box. Suitable is a 3-module electric box 3M, for example Gewiss GW24203, GW24207; TEM Catez DM30, HM30. The electric box is mounted vertically. 3. Fix the back plate on the electric box by tightening the back plate screws. Suggested for use is Philips wider “truss head” or “washer head” #6-32x 3/4”(20mm). 4. DO NOT let the bolt head rise above the wall of the mounting holes of the back plate. It might cause a short circuit of the room controller. MOUNTING FRONT COVER 1. Lock front cover on the back plate by tightening the cover screw underneath with screwdriver of Philips electronic instrument type or similar. WIRING EXAMPLE All wires that come from electric box must be inserted above the retainers of respective terminal block before tightening the captive screws. Item Description B - Type 4-Pipe Heating or Cooling (Manually Selectable) C - Type 4-Pipe Heating and Cooling (Auto changeover) E - Type 2-Pipe Heating or Cooling (Manually Selectable) USER MODE OPERATION The first tier of operation includes settings as Figure 3-1 shows. To operate: 1. Press Power button ON or OFF to turn on/off the room controller. In on state, icon ON is activated. 2. At state ON, press any other button to start the User Mode operation. Press FAN SPEED button to toggle over different fan speeds. Press MODE button to toggle working modes over Cooling/Heating. Press Up or Down button to increase/decrease temperature set-point. 3. If no button is pressed for 10 seconds, it will return to current temperature display with the latest setting. For Cooling or Heating mode manually selectable type (B, E), working mode depends on the users’ setting. 2. For Cooling and Heating mode automatical changeover type (C), working mode depends on the Room temperature as following: Cooling Mode Heating Mode Room Temperature Set-point (SP) Dead Band (DB) ½ DB Cooling MODE Stage Differential Valve control for Cooling mode Stage Differential Valve active Valve not active Valve active Valve not active Room Temperature Set-point Room Temperature Set-point Cooling Cooling FAN control for Cooling mode 1/3 PB 1/3 PB Stage Stage Differential Differential Fan Stage III Fan Stage III 1/3 1/3 Proportional Proportional Band (PB)(PB) Band Fan Stage FanIII Stage III FanIII Stage III Fan Stage Fan OffFan Off Room Room Temperature Temperature Set-point Set-point Cooling Cooling 7 08/14, fw. ver. But the ON/ OFF state can be changed by the Modbus communication. ANTI-FREEZING PROTECTION 1. If the present temperature falls under 10°C (adjustable in Engineer mode and Modbus), a Heating valve opens to 100%. This is active always, even when the room controller is off. In the 4-Pipe system (B or C), a Heating valve on terminal 4 activates. In the 2-Pipes system (E), a valve output on terminal 2 activates. Anti-Freezing Protection is ON by default, but it is also switchable to OFF in the Engineer mode and Modbus. 2. If the present temperature falls under PtCF (default 10°C), a fire icon and a house with thermometer will be active on LCD. 8 08/14, fw. ver. Active Economy mode is indicated with the Moon icon on LCD. If the present temperature in this mode is between Economy Cooling setpoint and Economy Heating set-point, no cooling or heating action is active. If the present temperature is outside these limits, corresponding cooling or heating action will be activated. If both, Economy and Protect mode are active, Protect mode will have priority. PROTECT MODE Protect mode can be activated with the digital input on terminal 11 or with the Modbus coil, address 2. Active Protect mode is indicated with the Clock icon on LCD. If the present temperature in this mode is between Protect Cooling set-point and Protect Heating set-point, no cooling or heating action is active. If the present temperature is outside these limits, corresponding Cooling or Heating action will be activated. If both, Economy and Protect mode are active, Protect mode will have priority. FIRMWARE VERSION The firmware version can be read with the Power On/Off button pressed for over 5 seconds. 9 08/14, fw. ver. V1.2, V1.3 Andivi – TRC-D – Technical Manual ENGINEER MODE OPERATION It is highly recommended for this mode to be operated by trained engineers because it is related to system parameters that will affect the control results. To operate: 1. Press Up and Down buttons for over 5 seconds to enter Engineer mode. 2. Press UP or DOWN button to rotate the menu item and press MODE button to enter the item. 3. Press UP or DOWN button to change the setting and press MODE button to confirm the setting and return to menu item selection. If no button is pressed for 10 seconds, it will go back to menu item selection. The setting won’t be changed then. 4. To leave Engineer mode, rotate till “End” and press MODE button or leave the button intact for 10 seconds. 5. Engineer mode can be locked for the user. In this case, it is not possible to enter this mode with the above procedure. For safety reasons, entering the Engineer mode is still possible with the Up and Down buttons pressed for over 60 seconds. 6. Those registers are: 1. Modbus Function 05,15 register address 01. 2. Modbus Function 06,16,23 register address 01~48. For example, if users re-set the set-point value with buttons, a next Modbus command Fun.06/16/23 reg. address 01 from DDC/ BMS will be ignored and the room controller will not reply back any to DDC/BMS sent. (Note: While a value of a register is changing on the room controller (with buttons), any write command to “this value” will be ignored, but the room controller will reply back the same data which DDC/BMS sent.) This special strategy is integrated because registers must be changeable on both sites (master and slave). 18 08/14, fw. ver. V1.2, V1.3 Andivi – TRC-D – Technical Manual Attention! In the event of an incorrect connection of the room controller or a short circuit in the installation and actuators, irreparable damage to the room controller can occur. Therefore, pay special attention during the installation and follow the instructions carefully!
