Choose the correct jaw set for the tool. 2.Select the correct insert for the tube you are joining. Gold = coiled aluminium tube Black = coiled copper tube 3. Cut pipe to length and de-bur ensuring burs do not fall into the pipework. 4. Ensure the tube is completely round. If tube is deformed it may be difficult to fit the insert. 5. Push the insert into the pipe. 6. Slip the fitting onto the nut and make sure it is fully inserted. Mark the pipe showing position of fitting. 7. Remove fitting, slip nut onto pipe with the chamfered (bevelled) edge pointing towards the fitting. 8. Apply a small amount of Loctite 609 to the outside tube surface. 9. Place the fitting onto the tube rotating the fittings (or tube) so that the Loctite is distributed across the tube surface. 10. Slide the nut up so it touches the fitting. 11. Present the tool to the fitting making sure the groove in the middle of the fitting sits fully into the saddle of the jaws. 12.Keeping the tube/fitting in the alignment required, start the tool. Keep the trigger fully depressed until the tool reaches a pre-set pressure and releases the jaws. 13.Remove the tooling. On larger sizes the nut may not be fully up to the fitting, or it may be slightly offset. This is not a problem, however if you wish, rotate the tool/fitting slightly and re start the tool as required.
