This number is required when returning your warranty card to register your trolley and should be kept handy for future use. The same number should also be on the box you received with your trolley. Please ensure you keep hold of the box in case you need to return your trolley for any reason. A proof of purchase must also be kept in case your trolley requires parts during its warranty period. Please keep a record of your trolley serial number here for future reference Page 1 Getting Started - Fitting the S3 Lite Battery / Attaching the Wheels Fitting the S3 Lite Battery The battery housing is located on the underside of your S3 Lite. Follow these simple steps to fit the AA batteries (fig. 1): Fig 1 1. Remove the 4 screws securing the lid of the battery housing. 2. Fit the batteries ensuring that they are inserted in the correct direction as shown on the lid. 3. Once the batteries are in place, secure the lid with the 4 screws. Attaching the Wheels The Motocaddy S1 Lite has no definitive left or right wheel, the S3 Lite however does have differing wheels and it is important to fit them correctly to enable distance measurement (left wheel shown in fig.2) Fig 2 To attach your wheels press the button on the underside of the rear bar (fig. 3) and insert the axle fully. Release the button and pull the wheel out slightly until it clicks. Fig 3 Page 2 Getting Started - Folding and Unfolding your Trolley Unfolding your Trolley 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Simply pull the clip and fold the main frame in half, fold the wishbone part down and pull the clip to lock in place. Page 3 Getting Started - Upper and Lower Bag Supports Using the Upper and Lower Bag Supports The upper and lower bag supports on your Motocaddy trolley are designed to hold your bag securely whilst allowing simple adjustment to incorporate differing bag sizes. To secure your bag in place follow these simple steps: Fig 1 1. Stretch the elasticated strap around the bag and loop the rounded bar underneath the hook (fig. 1) 2. The attached strap will now be secured (fig. 2) 3. Position the two placement straps centrally on your cart bag (fig. 3) The same steps can be followed for the upper and lower bag supports. Fig 2 Please ensure the strap is hooked in place securely before releasing. Failure to do so could result in injury to the user. Fig 3 Page 4 Getting Started - Adjusting the Bag Supports Adjusting the Bag Supports Fig 1 The bag support straps are manufactured from elasticated material to allow your golf bag to be held tightly in place. The strap should be adjusted to be reasonably tight around the golf bag. The following steps detail how to alter the length of the straps: 1. Unclip the elasticated straps from the housing by pulling them outwards in the direction shown by the arrows (fig. 1) 2. Move the bar as required to either tighten or loosen the strap fitting. Pulling the bar downwards will tighten, whilst pushing it upwards will loosen the supporting straps (fig. 2) 3. Ensure that the straps are clipped back in to the housing before use (fig. 3) Fig 2 Fig 3 Page 5 Getting Started - Using the Parking Brake / Adjusting the Front Wheel Alignment Using the Parking Brake The brake on your Motocaddy Lite trolley is designed to be used as a parking brake (like a hand brake of a car or foot brake on a pram). When applying the brake you should make sure that the trolley has completely stopped moving first. WARNING: attempting to apply the brake whilst the trolley is still in motion may cause damage to the trolley and could invalidate the warranty. Always ensure that the parking brake has been disengaged before attempting to set off again. Adjusting the Front Wheel Alignment if your trolley is veering In the unlikely event that your trolley is not tracking in a straight line, the alignment of the front wheel can be adjusted to rectify the fault. This problem can be caused by a number of factors including a slightly loose bag support or an unevenly packed golf bag. Should you wish to alter the alignment of the front wheel, follow these simple steps: 1. Remove the plastic cap on the right hand side of the front wheel housing. 2. You will find that there is an Allen key bolt underneath the cap, using an Allen key, loosen this slightly (fig. 1) 3. There two small metal dials on either side of the housing that are used to realign the wheel (fig. 3). Page 6 Getting Started - Adjusting the Front Wheel Alignment 4. If your trolley is veering to the right, you will need to turn the left hand dial clockwise and the right hand dial anti-clockwise. 5. If your trolley is veering to the left, you will need to turn the right hand dial clockwise and the left hand dial anti-clockwise. 6. Tighten the Allen key bolt back up and cover with the plastic cap. Fig 1 If your trolley has a quick release lever one side and a nut the other side of the front wheel, follow these simple steps: 1. Lift the quick release lever positioned on the front wheel housing and loosen the wheel nut (fig. 2). 2. There are two small metal dials on either side of the housing that are used to realign the wheel (fig. 3). 3. If your trolley is veering to the right, you will need to turn the left hand dial clockwise and the right hand dial anti-clockwise. 4. If your trolley is veering to the left, you will need to turn the right hand dial clockwise and the left hand dial anti-clockwise. 5. Tighten the wheel nut and push down the lever to lock the wheel back into place. Fig 2 This procedure can be carried out until you are happy the trolley is moving in a straight line (please note you may only need to adjust one dial at a time). If the trolley is not used for more than 30 minutes the display will automatically turn off. The display is powered by two AA batteries, these are located in a battery case underneath the trolley. The display has a battery meter to indicate if you need to replace the batteries. Setting the Time Press and hold the “Set” button for three seconds until the “minutes” start flashing. Set the minutes by pressing the “Scroll” button, each press will increase the time by one minute. Then toggle to the hour by pressing the “Set” button again. Set the hour in the same way as you did the minutes. Once the time is correct, press and hold the “Set” button for three seconds to confirm. Please note that if the batteries are replaced, the time will reset. Page 11 Using your S3 Lite Display Using the Distance Readouts There are three different distance readouts – “Distance 1”, “Distance 2” and “Total Distance”. You can toggle through them at any time by pressing the “Scroll” button. We recommend using “Distance 1” to measure your drives or particular shots during your round. To reset the reading, press the “Set” button. To get an accurate reading you need to walk directly to your golf ball. We appreciate that you will not always be able to walk directly to your golf ball - however when you can it’s great fun to see how far you’ve hit it and our system measures with incredible accuracy. You can change the distance readings from yards to meters (or vice versa) by pressing and holding the “Scroll” button for 3 seconds. We recommend using “Distance 2” to measure your approach shots. For example you could align your S3 Lite with the 150 yard marker and accurately measure how far past it your ball is. Similarly to Distance 1, pressing the “Set” button will reset the distance at any time. Please note if you replace the batteries, “Distance 1” and “Distance 2” will be reset. “Total Distance” cannot be reset, even if you replace the batteries. This shows how far the trolley has travelled in its lifetime. You can toggle to it by pressing the “Scroll” button. This reading is displayed in miles or km. Toggle between miles or km by holding down the “Scroll” button for 3 seconds. If you find that the distance does not appear to be counting, please check the wheels are on the correct way round. If they are press the reset button located underneath the handle. Please note that pressing the reset button will reset the time. Page 12 Using your S3 Lite Display Using the Round Timer The round timer will automatically start counting when you first set off, you can reset the round timer at the start of each round. To reset the round timer you must first toggle through the distance readings using the “Scroll” button until the display shows “Distance 1” and the round time is flashing. Press the “Set” button to reset the round timer. How to use Competition Mode It is possible to temporarily disable the distance measuring functions using the competition mode should competition rules dictate. It is recommended that you always check competition rules before using your Motocaddy S3 Lite with distance readings enabled. To enable competition mode follow the steps below: 1. Whilst stationary, hold down the “Scroll” and “Set” buttons together for three seconds. 2. The distance readings will be removed from the screen and the words ‘COMP MODE” will appear. 3. To return your trolley to normal mode, simply perform the procedure indicated in step 1 once more.
