Step Two -‐ Assembly: >Insert forearm assembly fully into the lower tube. >Tighten the clamp with the allen key. >Tighten to 9Nm or ‘snug plus ¼ turn.’ Step Three -‐ Height Adjustment: >Loosen the clamp securing the tip adapter and slide the tip adapter. >In or out to achieve a comfortable height. >NOTE: Maximum tip extension is to the last line on the tip adapter. Minimum 1 inch (2.5 cm.) embedment is required. re=plpp_video Additionally, follow the instructions below: 1) Remove completely from forearm. Unscrew from side using the provided hex key. 2) Remove leather pad. 3) Place the cuff on cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Be careful when removing from oven as the cuff will be hot. 4) Once cool enough to handle, bend the cuff to widen it to a larger size. 5) The Velcro may need to be repositioned before the cuff is completely cool. 6) Return the cuff to the tube, line up screw and screw it back into place. We encourage you to use them as often as possible and to contact us with any questions and concerns. Certain SideStix models incorporate a damping shock absorber, and articulating feet attachments, and because of this, it may take a short while for you to get familiar with them. Limited Lifetime Warranty SideStix forearm crutches and attachments are warranted to the original registered owner, by SideStix Ventures Inc. to be free from defects in materials and workmanship that affect performance under normal use and maintenance, as described below: •
Ergon grips, Fetterman tips and SideStix soles are warranted against manufacturing defects for a period of one (1) year; however wear is not warrantable, due to the wide range of usage variables, outside the control of the manufacturer. •
Shock Assemblies and Articulating Rotating Feet are warranted for a period of two (2) years. However, this warranty applies only if maintenance is carried out as specified in the maintenance manual. The shock absorber assembly and articulating feet attachments contain moving parts and therefore regular maintenance is essential to their correct operation. •
The Forearm, Main Tube and Cuff are covered by a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects which applies only to regular use as an ambulatory aid and only for the original owner. As its only responsibility, and your only remedy, SideStix Ventures Inc. will furnish a replacement part, without charge for the part only, to replace any part that is found to be defective due to workmanship or materials under normal use and maintenance
