Do not use a sharp tool ! For the first inflation and in order to get acquainted with your new product, remove the retention strap and unroll the board allowing it to relax and inflate indoors at room temperature where the PVC will be soft and assembly process made easier. Any use of an air compressor will damage your product and automatically void all warranties. If it was stored at a temperature below 0°C / 32°F, leave it at 20°C / 68°F for 12 hours before unfolding. Inflate it with the provided pump or any manual or powered inflator designed for inflatable boats, rafts, pool floats, air beds, camping mattresses, and other low pressure inflatables. Choose a smooth and clean surface to unfold your product. BOARD INFLATION 1. Your product is equipped with a high quality high spring loaded military inflation valve at the tail of the board. To inflate, open the valve cap by twisting it counter clockwise. Check with your thumb or forefinger and gently push and twist the plunger pin. If the pin stays locked in the down position, you have now opened that valve. To close it, depress and twist the plunder pin so it springs back up. Now the valve is closed. ALL INFLATION is done in the CLOSED (UPWARD) position and DEFLATION is done in the OPEN (DOWNWARD) position. 2. To attach the pump hose to the valve on the board simply push the fitting into the valve and turn clock wise to lock it. Inflate until you will reach the required pressure (see point 3). After inflation disconnect the hose from the valve and close the valve with the valve cap by twisting it clockwise until it stops. Please note: THE VALVE WILL NOT BE COMPLETELY AIRTIGHT UNTIL THE CAP IS SECURELY IN PLACE. 3. Max. air pressure: The correct pressure for this board is 12-14 psi. DO NOT EXCEED IT. Please check the pressure with the supplied pressure gauge while you are inflating the board. Overpressure: deflate until you reach the recommended pressure. Drop of pressure: inflate again slightly. 1 2 3 3 MODEL: BLOWFISH OWNER’S MANUAL INSTALLING CENTER FIN 1 2 Make sure the center fin box is clean and free of debris before installing the fins. 3 Using the screw, slide the metal plate all the way forward in the fin box. 4 Holding the fin at an angle, insert the metal pin into the fin box opening. 5 Keeping the fin at an angle, slide the fin into position. 6 Holding the fin firmly, push the fin flush with the fin box. 7 Using the screwdriver, line up the hole in the metal plate with the hole in the fin tab. 8 Insert the screw into the fin tab. Using the screwdriver, tighten the screw into the underlying metal plate. 4 MODEL: BLOWFISH OWNER’S MANUAL WARNING ! If you leave your product exposed to the hot sun check the pressure and deflate it slightly, otherwise the material could become overstretched. Be conscious of the temperature(s) you are operating in. The ambient temperature affects the tube’s internal pressure: a variation of 1°C causes a variation of the pressure in the tube of .06 lbs. Always rinse your board thoroughly with fresh water before storing (garden hose with a high pressure stream sprayer like washing your car works great). A mild soapy solution works great as well as along with the scrubbing part of a non-scratch kitchen sponge to remove any stubborn marks. Do not use strong chemical detergents, cleaners, bleaches, solvents or any type of silicone-based products. Make sure the product is completely dry before putting it away. Inspect the board completely. 2. Unscrew and remove the center fin keep the screw and plate screwed onto the fin so you do not lose them. Store fin in the front pocket of the carry bag. 3. To deflate, unscrew the valve cap and open the valve to the down position until it locks. Give it five minutes or so to completely exhaust and relax itself – makes rolling easier too. 4. Rolling up – Keep the D-ring retention strap handy by the tail so you can grab it when you are finished rolling. Starting at the nose roll the board up tightly – it is a bit hard at first but gets easier as the roll gets larger and you use the weight of the roll to flatten what is ahead of you. When you have rolled the board up wrap the retention strap around the roll and feed the strap through the D-ring and cinch it up tight. 5. Getting it in the duffle bag. The easiest way (particularly if you are by yourself) is to stand the roll on one end and pull the bag onto it and then turn it right-side up. If you have rolled it up tightly enough you will have plenty of room on the sides in the bag to store the paddle, pump & repair kit. 6. When storing your inflatable, keep it in a clean and dry place that is not affected from major variations in temperature and other damaging factors. You may store it deflated and rolled up in the bag or lightly inflated (make sure you do not subject it to deformations like hanging it on a fence or rail). Store it away from rodents and any other chewing animals – they like rubber! VALVE CAUTION & CARE The inflation/deflation valve is maintenance free however use caution during inflation/deflation or any time the valve cover is off not to get sand, dirt, debris or water in the valve! Also a valve wrench is included in the repair kit. The valve comes in two parts that screw together and “bite down” on the inner and outer surfaces of the PVC deck. Should this start to loosen up the valve wrench is included to re-tighten. Turning it clockwise will pinch the upper and lower flanges and keep the seal airtight. INFLATION/DEFLATION VALVE CAUTION! NO DIRT, SAND OR DEBRIS OR WATER CAN ENTER 6 MODEL: BLOWFISH OWNER’S MANUAL HOW TO REPAIR SMALL PUNCTURES You can repair small punctures with the included repair kit. Please note that in order for the repair to be successful, the humidity level should be less than 60%, temperature between 65° F/77° F or 18°C/25°C. Avoid carrying out repairs in the rain or in direct sunlight. 1. Draw the shape of the patch exactly where it will be applied, cut a round patch at least 1” larger on all sides than the cut/damaged area. 2. Clean the damaged area and the corresponding side of the patch with a grease remover like rubbing alcohol and allow for it to dry for 5 minutes. Remove/trim any pieces that would not allow the patch to apply flat and smooth. Light roughing the area to be repaired with fine 600 or finer grit wet/dry sandpaper or the green scouring pads will help adhesion. 3. Apply 3 thin layers of glue on both the patch and the damaged area, allow for it to dry for 5 minutes between layers until the glue feels tacky. 4. When the third layer of glue is dry, apply the patch without pressing and adjust the positioning if required, press the air bubbles which may have formed under the patch by smoothing the patch with a round object such as a spoon, do this procedure by starting in the center of the patch towards the outside, clean the excess glue with a solvent. LET DRY AT LEAST 12 HOURS BEFORE INFLATING AGAIN. ONCE INFLATED CHECK THE REPAIR WITH SOAPY SOLUTION AND LOOK FOR BUBBLES. If you see bubbles the repair is not airtight. For larger repairs consult your local boating or marine center who handles repairs of these types for rafts, rubber boats and such. ATTENTION! • Perform all of your repairs in a well-ventilated area • Avoid inhaling glue vapors or swallowing. • Avoid contact with the skin or the eyes. • Keep all repair materials (glue, solvents, etc.) away from children’s reach 7 MODEL: BLOWFISH OWNER’S MANUAL RELEASE OF LIABILITY, CLAIM WAIVER AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT RELEASE AND WAIVER OF CLAIMS AGREEMENT In consideration of your use of this product, you hereby agree to the following, to the fullest extent permitted by law: 1.
