Approaching from the south via U.S.1, also known as South Dixie Highway
At Sunset Drive, which is S.W. 72 Street and runs through the center of the City of South Miami, turn east: that is,
turn right if coming from the south and left if coming from the north.
Stay on Sunset until the traffic circle at the end.
Go around the circle and across the bridge. Right away you’ll see a light. Turn right at this light. Now you are on
Ingraham.
Right away you’ll see another light, after which the road curves to the left. Keep on this road for a while, and when
you come to the next traffic light, turn right. Now you’ll be on Main Highway.
After about ¼ mile you’ll come to the light at Royal Palm/Hibiscus Avenue. Just as your car is passing under this
light you’ll see coral rock gateposts on your right, with the school’s name on them. And immediately on your right
will be a small coral rock cottage.
This is the Barat Campus, 3747 Main Highway, Coconut Grove, where the Intermediate School (Grades 4-6), High
School, and Admissions are located.
About 700 feet farther along Main Highway is the Duchesne Campus where the Montessori/Primary and the Junior
High Schools are located.
Approaching from the north via U.S. 1, also known as South Dixie Highway
Coming southward from I-95 or from Brickell Avenue which doubles as U.S. 1, turn left on S.W. 27 Avenue and
continue until it “T’s” into (ends) at South Bayshore Drive.
Turn right and continue on S. Bayshore Drive as it turns at a right angle upon reaching a park.
This leads you, one block later, to the traffic light in the center of downtown Coconut Grove, where 4 streets meet
at angles to each other.
The left-most of these streets is Main Highway. Take this left.
About ¼ mile later you’ll come to the Duchesne campus, 3645 Main Highway, on your left. This is where the
Montessori/Primary and the Junior High Schools are located. By continuing another 700 feet along Main Highway
you’ll come to the Barat Campus, 3747 Main Highway, where the Intermediate (Grades 4-6), High Schools (Grades
9-12), and Admissions are located.
It is often difficult to assess an applicant’s profile. For this reason, recommendations, interviews and testing are
essential in the process. We ask that you please provide us with a copy of her last report card followed by official
transcripts from her current school.
Academic records including Standardized Test Scores: for the past 4 years your
daughter has been in school. Please deliver the Transcript Release(s) to your daughter’s
current school. These materials must be sent to us directly from the school in no case will
we accept hand-delivered items. Parents are responsible for requesting these records
directly from your daughter’s school(s). These forms are to be returned directly to the
Admission Office.
Teacher Recommendations: Carrollton requires recommendations which must be submitted
electronically by the student’s current school, however, the parents are responsible for requesting the
recommendations through School Recs. The recommendations must be requested online. You will need
