After hearing the story of Charlie’s Lunch, we fell in love with this ministry and knew that
you would too! We now annually fund 8 Charlie’s Lunchrooms in Mexico, Honduras,
and Guatemala, with more to come! Today, 480 children receive 3 hot lunches each week
in these lunchrooms. They receive love and encouragement from the volunteer staff, who
teach our kids how much God loves them! As we have personally visited every one of
our lunchrooms and shared with the kids, we can honestly say that this is a ministry that
feeds the body and soul of these children, and we are proud to be a part of it!
The Charlie’s Lunch Story
Sam and Janey Stewart’s son Charlie was born
with a serious heart defect. Charlie was one of
the most spiritually alive kids you could ever
meet, and he loved to share. On February 1,
1996, Charlie’s heart just couldn’t hold out any
longer, and he went home to be with the Lord. The
Stewarts were missionaries serving in Guatemala,
and one day at lunchtime there was a knock at
their door. When Janey opened the door, she
found two little boys begging for food. Janey
felt the Lord telling her to “Give them Charlie’s
lunch.” She did, and that act grew into the ministry
named Charlie’s Lunch, which today feeds
thousands of hungry children all over the world.

This is an amazing time at Initial Outfitters!
