I hope you had a great summer filled
with fun and relaxation! Following
are updates on our 2014 VaSHHRA
goals:
•Membership of 150: We have
approximately 120 members. We
are pleased with our member count
due to mergers and acquisitions
occurring in our state, and the
financial changes in healthcare.
•Nominations for ASHHRA Award
Categories: Several of our members
were selected for ASHHRA awards.
Please join me in congratulating

Executive Team has decided to
wait one year. Per the ASHHRA
Affiliation Agreement, we will not
need to meet this requirement until
January 1, 2016.

•Prepare for 2015 Officer Change:
The 2015-16 Ballot of Officers will

Membership Chair has been
sending new members a “new
member packet” via mail and we
have received positive feedback .
•Increase Educational Offerings
for Members: We have held the
following educational events for
our members – AHA/ASHHRA/
VaSHHRA Roundtable, Additional
Regional
Meetings,
Spring
Conference, Extended the Fall
Conference to include a ½ day
pre-conference session on legal
updates.
As summer wraps up, I hope you

the important role you have in
healthcare. Just like the seasons of
the year, change in healthcare is
inevitable. VaSHHRA can help you
navigate through all these changes.
