What would you say are your priorities for Beaverbrook’s future? Range Expansion and facility
Improvement.
Please detail your vision for the club’s future and what talents you personally bring to the
administration of the club. Beaverbrook is in a good position to become the best shooting range in the
north metro area, the land area they now possess and with the expansion, will make room for more
members to enjoy this great facility. Without having to wait for shooting bays to open-up. This will require
an effort from all on the Board of Directors and I am will to do my best to work with the other board
members to ensure the success of the club for all to enjoy. My background is in Precision Sheet Metal
and Custom Manufacturing (38 years) currently a Manufacturing Engineer. I build and maintain static and
reactive targets for several shooting ranges in the area. I am a NRA Life Member, NRA Range Safety
Officer.
Bill Dubats – Incumbent – Board of Directors
How long have you been a member of Beaverbrook? I joined Beaverbrook
in 1994.
Have you held any other positions on the Executive Committee? The
Range Committee has been working on a proposed range expansion. Some
issues with easements and exceptions of the land title(s) have posed additional
challenges.
What shooting sports do you enjoy? As a lad, I won some small bore rifle
championships in Wisconsin (about 54 years ago.) Still like to make tiny groups of holes on defenseless
paper. I was a league trap shooter on a company league and later at Metro for about 12 years
What would you say are your priorities for Beaverbrook’s future? (1) Completion of range
expansion(s) and clearing of unnecessary and inappropriate provisions on our land titles. (2) Maintaining
our base of business by catering to underserved segments of shooting sports.
Please detail your vision for the club’s future and what talents you personally bring to the
administration of the club? Beaverbrook can do well by serving most of the classes of shooting sports
we are good at accommodating. League trap shooting is vital to the club, and there appears to be a
growing demand from high school trap leagues. We need to continue to warmly welcome high school
league shooting. In addition, pistol shooting has become more in demand. Indoor ranges are quickly
taking market share for many types of pistol shooting, but some types (i.e. , personal defense oriented)
require multi-dimensional outdoor ranges. We need to become firmly entrenched to serve this growing
segment of the market.

Beaverbrook did. We have a great place and a great bunch of people we need to keep it that and strive
to make it even better. I hope to work hard to keep things running as smooth as possible. I worked for
Western Union as an electronic tech for 32 1/2 years till they closed my dept. During that time I was a

Please detail your vision for the club’s future and what talents you personally bring to the
administration of the club? With my kids and all the high schools shooting now, id like the club to be
there in the future for us and them. Id also like the club to be able to be open more for the public. I think
this would in turn, build our memberships as well as put more revenue into the club. I dont mind trying to
keep up with some of the maintenance around the grounds as well.
