July – 7th July 2014 in Suwon, Korea.
Organizing Committee is planning to provide you with all internal transfer service to and from airportcompetition venue- hotel, for your convenience and the smooth competition organization.

2014 Suwon Asian Fencing Championships
1. <<2014 Suwon Asian Fencing Championships >> is opened to all fencers, possessing a current FIE License, who
are selected by their National Federations.
2. Date : 2nd (Wed.) – 7th (Mon.) July. 2014
3. Venue : Gymnasium(1st venue) and Public Sports Center (2nd venue) in Suwon Sports Complex

5. Entries
2014 Suwon Asian Fencing Championships is open to all Asian and Oceania fencers, possessing current FIE licenses.
Maximum number of competitors per country
a) Individual events : maximum of four(4) fencers per country
b) Team events: One (1) team per country consisting of three (3) fencers and one (1) reserve.
The entries for the fencers have to be made directly on the website of the FIE before the 26th June 2014.
Preliminary entry (by event and numbers): This form (Annex 1) has to be received by the organizing committee not later
than 19th June 2014.
Entry for Officials and Fencers (by name) : This form(Annex 2, 3) has to be received by the organizing committee not
later than 26th June 2014.
Transportation form (Annex 4) must reach the organizing committee by 26th June 2014.
6. Competition Methods:
The fencing competition shall be conducted in accordance with the current Status and Rules of the FIE. In case of

disagreement in interpretation of the rules, the latest English version shall prevail.
The Director Technique shall deal with any unforeseen incidents not covered by the rules.
7. Equipments and Weapon Control:
All the fencers should be equipped in accordance with FIE standards. They have to present their equipment at the weapon
control the day before their competition.
8. Entry fee (Confirmation of engagement)
The rate of entry fee is as follows:
Individual event 40USD / person / event
Team event 100USD / team / event
The entry fee is to be paid at the moment of the confirmation of engagement.
9. Accreditation and Weapon control
Entry for Officials and Fencers (Annex 2, 3) must to be received by the organizing committee no later than 26th June 2014.
All fencers have to be accredited the day before the competition at latest at 16h00.
10. Doping: Doping control will be carried out according to FIE regulations
11. Referees
FIE will provide the FCA with a list of “acceptable international referees” from among the FIE licensed referees in Asia.
Referees will be assigned by FCA and FIE jointly, these referees must present themselves on 1st July 2014 at
17:00 p.m to referee meeting.

13. Internal transfer service
We will provide transportation to and from the Airport –Hotel -Venue for the participating delegations and its cost is 30USD
per person (all transportation to and from the Airport –Hotel -Venue). Please pay the transportation fee to the Organizing
Committee when you pay the entry fee. Please send us your flight itinerary to the Organizing Committee through the Annex
4 (Transportation request form), no later than 26th June 2014.

Note: The transfer service will be provided only for guests who will be staying at the above official hotels.
Please be informed that the transfer service (airport –hotel-airport) is available from 6 am to 11 pm, the delegation
arrive after this time, has to transfer by themselves.
14. Visa
In order to obtain a visa, participants are requested to send the copy of their passports by e-mail: [email protected].
The organizing committee will take care of the necessary formalities.
