There are more than 2,000 Rubimed practitioners in Europe
and North America and the interest continues to grow in
healing methods that are centered on the mind-body
connection.
Dr. Daniel Beilin (founder of Alfa Thermodiagnostics) who
instructed us regarding Alfa Thermography and Dr. Reimar Banis
who taught us Rubimed testing using the Reba Device, both
reveal that a person may have a blocked flow of energy from
some emotional stress that has happened in the past which has
not been resolved and they may not even remember what has
happened, but the body and the mind remembers! This can
affect the health of a person, not just in the obvious cases of
ulcers or heart palpitations, but we have seen a whole gambit of
illnesses that can be attributed to unresolved emotional blocks
from skin rashes to cancer.
When we see health problems that have not responded to
any other therapies, clear up once emotional issues have been
resolved, we know we are on to something. As always, at our
clinic we are eager to help anyone in need.
The testing equipment is simple and at the present time we
are not charging for the testing at to our clinic to see what issues
need to be dealt with. The equipment and homeopathic
remedies that respond were developed in Germany.
Life self-healing journey. Let us help guide you and find
answers.

Electric bassist David Ellefson
has been a mainstay in the heavy
metal community for over 30 years.
Internationally acclaimed as the cofounding bassist of Thrash Metal
titans MEGADETH. With countless
gold & platinum records and 11
Grammy nominations, David has
recently released his autobiography
My Life With Deth through
Howard Books.
The book tells of his wholesome
Minnesota Lutheran upbringing, but
follows his path into drug addiction
while pursuing his dream of rock
stardom in Hollywood. A return to
his faith in Jesus Christ in 1990
brought him back from the depths of
addiction and restored his family
and career.
My Life With Deth also
chronicles Ellefson’s transition into
ministry work. In 2006, he founded
the MEGA Life! Ministry in
Scottsdale, AZ and has pursued
seminary training at Concordia
College in St. Louis, MO.

his large ears that stand out
more than those of most people. Martin Clunes is Doc Martin. We forget his ears as soon
as we become involved in the
story. He is not the only one
who is successful despite
unusual ears. Adam Godley,
another British film star, has
significantly outstanding ears.
He acts in British and American films. Yes, his ears draw
our attention immediately, but
then his character takes over,
and we accept the ears.
Ears are unique whether
they stand out or not. In some
countries one ear must show
for the passport photo. That
seemed peculiar until I heard
that ears are as unique as fingerprints. Some authorities
say that they may be the best
form of identification yet.

This research is being

The art of blending into nature while hunting
Looking at old hunting
photos of our parents or
grandparents, we soon
realize just how much camouflage
clothing
has
evolved over the years.
Companies have made
such enormous strides in
research and development
that there now exists a
wide selection of styles.The
first few years when cam-
ouflage clothing became
available, the patterns were
inspired by the military.
Today, companies have
adjusted to the realities of
the territory and offer prod-
ucts that are better suited
to the different hunting
environments.
Above all, camouflage
is intended to distort the
human shape and blend
into the surrounding habitat. Of course, it is best to
have different camouflage
outfits for every type of
hunt, territory, and circumstance, but, unfortunately,
this is not realistic for
everyone. Besides, a camouflage outfit that is
designed for the type of

hunt that you practice
most is quite sufficient. An
easy trick is to imagine the
environment where you
hunt most often and find a
motif that best resembles
it.
Another
important
trick to remember when
hunting big game is to
treat your clothes against
unfavourable odours. Camouflage clothing effectively
conceals you from view, but
as every good hunter
knows, big game like deer,
moose, or bear rely on their
sense of smell to detect
what surrounds them.
The art of camouflage
does not consist solely in
the quality of your clothing;
it depends even more on
the attitude you assume in
the field. A fidgety hunter,
even when perfectly camouflaged, will be detected
more quickly than someone who does not move.
Try it and you will see.

Hunting and Shelters
A shelter can protect
you from the sun, insects,
wind, rain, snow, hot or
cold temperatures, and
enemy observation. It can
give you a feeling of wellbeing. It can help you
maintain your will to survive.
In some areas, your
need for shelter may take
precedence over your
need for food and possibly even your need for
water. For example, prolonged exposure to cold
can cause excessive
fatigue and weakness
(exhaustion). An exhausted person may develop a
"passive" outlook, thereby
losing the will to survive.
The most common
error in making a shelter is
to make it too large. A
shelter must be large
enough to protect you. It
must also be small
enough to contain your
body heat, especially in
cold climates.
Shelter Site Selection
When you are in a survival situation and realize
that shelter is a high priority, start looking for shelter as soon as possible. As
you do so, remember
what you will need at the
site. Two requisites are-• It must contain
material to make the type
of shelter you need.
• It must be large
enough and level enough
for you to lie down comfortably.
When you consider
these requisites, however,
you cannot ignore your
tactical situation or your
safety. You must also consider whether the site-• Provides protection
against wild animals and
rocks and dead trees that
might fall.
• Is free from insects,
reptiles, and poisonous
plants.
You
must
also
remember the problems
that could arise in your
environment.
For
instance-• Avoid flash flood
areas in foothills.
• Avoid avalanche or
rockslide areas in mountainous terrain.
• Avoid sites near bodies of water that are below
the high water mark.
In some areas, the
season of the year has a
strong bearing on the site
you select. Ideal sites for a
shelter differ in winter and
summer. During cold winter months you will want a
site that will protect you
from the cold and wind,
but will have a source of
fuel and water. During
summer months in the
same area you will want a
source of water, but you
will want the site to be
almost insect free.
When
considering
shelter site selection, use
the word BLISS as a guide.
B - Blend in with the
surroundings.
L - Low silhouette.
I - Irregular shape.
S - Small.
S - Secluded location.
When looking for a
shelter site, keep in mind
the type of shelter (protection) you need. However, you must also consider:
• How much time and
effort you need to build
the shelter.
• If the shelter will
adequately protect you
from the elements (sun,
wind, rain, snow).
• If you have the tools
to build it. If not, can you
make improvised tools?
• If you have the type
and amount of materials
needed to build it.
Natural Shelters
Do not overlook natural formations that provide shelter. Examples are
caves, rocky crevices,
clumps of bushes, small
depressions, large rocks
on leeward sides of hills,
large trees with low-hanging limbs, and fallen trees
with thick branches. However, when selecting a
natural formation-• Stay away from low
ground such as ravines,
narrow valleys, or creek
beds. Low areas collect
the heavy cold air at night
and are therefore colder
than the surrounding
high
ground. Thick,
brushy, low ground also
harbors more insects.
• Check for poisonous
snakes, ticks, mites, spiders, and ants.
• Look for loose rocks,
dead limbs, or other natural growth than could fall
on your shelter.

Yearly Mammograms
Should you have one?
Early detection of breast cancer could save your life.
Did you know that a referral from your family
physician is not necessary if you are 40 years or older?
Alberta Breast Cancer Screening Program (ABCSP), in
conjunction with Alberta Health Services, allow women
between the ages of 50 to 69 years to self-refer for a
Screening Mammogram every year.
Screening does not include the following:
- Previous breast cancer
- Breast implants
- Breast pain
- Breast lump
- Nipple inversion
- Nipple discharge
- Skin discoloration
If you are 40-49 or 70 years
and older, you will need to talk to
your Physician for your first
mammogram. Following this, if you
do not fall into the above
diagnostic criteria, you can also self
refer for your next mammogram.
How do you self-refer?
Call our ABCSP Accredited Breast Screening site at
403-527-7334, Extension 1-1 to book your appointment
today!
We use the latest Digital Breast Imaging technology
and our Medical Radiation Technologists are certified by

dents can be found in a handful of
small, unexpectedly cultural cities
and in the down-home, homegrown gas station-and-grain-elevator towns sprinkled in between.
With them, you’ll find a true sense
of hospitality, scrumptious places
to eat and ample reasons to raise a
glass. People here eagerly share
their own version of the good life,
whether it’s casting a line into the
Madison River, peering into petroglyph-painted caves, carving
through deep powder or biting
into a Butte pasty. In fact, you’ll find
the definition of the good life
varies quite a bit in the space from
the Gore-Tex-clad recreation outpost of Whitefish to the rough-riding cowboy town of Miles
City. That’s why it makes sense to
break up your journey to the big
state of Montana into regions, and
come back often. (That, and the
whole 94 million-acre thing.)
Each region offers its own
blend of spectacular scenery,
intriguing history, and recreation
galore, as well as its own unique
quirks and specialties, too. Northwest Montana’s Glacier Country
presents the Montana most firsttime visitors tend to picture, with
superlative Crown of the Continent
panoramas and a laid-back cultural
scene.
Over at the opposite side of the
state, southeast Montana’s Custer
Country spins tales of modern day
to wayback-when under its big
skies. In north-central Montana’s
Russell Country, residents preserve
a past from dinosaur days, and in
northeast Montana’s Missouri River
Country, civilization melts away
into endless unbroken prairies.
Mining-roots pride is a hallmark of
southwest Montana’s Gold West
Country’s storied mountain ranges,
while south-central Montana’s Yellowstone Country’s namesake attraction
vies with a host of other
outdoorsy distractions.
If choosing from six
regions seems tricky, try
picking from Montana’s
four seasons. Summertime festivals, wildflowerstrewn hikes, and rockclimbing
excursions
compete with yellowaspen autumns full of fly
fishing, hunting and
squeezing in a last backpacking trip. Come winter, ski hills,
cross-country trails, frozen lakes,
snowmobile trails and neighborhood rinks send outdoorsy types
scrambling for their polar
fleece…until it all melts into
spring, with promises of big whitewater for kayakers, spring hatches
for anglers and invigorating hikes
for the undaunted. It makes the
choice a little easier, though, knowing that some things are a given
year-round: historic hotels, captivating museums, homey cafés and
mineral hot springs, to name a few.
Really, though, it doesn’t matter
if you’ve come in the deep of winter to ski the Rockies or the height
of summer to cast into Fort Peck
Reservoir—Montana guarantees
you’ll go home with stories to tell.
Welcome to Montana.

Glacier Country is the Montana

to Montana tend to envision—
woodsy, with alpine lakes and towering mountain panoramas; wild,

Russell Country
When it comes to north-central
Montana, the question is, how far
back in time would you like to go?
To 1960s kitsch at the Sip n’ Dip in
Great Falls, a tiki bar with live performing mermaids? To Rockwellian
winters, schussing the time-honored slopes of Montana’s oldest ski
area? Or back to painter Charlie
Russell’s frontier West, viewed from
the windows of a dinner train?
Here, you’ll experience Fort Benton’s days as a fur-trading outpost;
Lewis and Clark’s 1805–06 Montana expedition; and Bear Paw Battlefield, where Chief Joseph
resigned to “fight no more forever.”
This land of sunny wheat fields,
snowy plains and
rolling mountains
can take you back
to a time before
human civilization, too, like
Choteau’s Cretaceous days as a
hip
dinosaur
hangout. Or go
back farther still,
to geologic time,
when limestone
rock formations
slowly emerged
along the Upper Missouri National
Wild and Scenic River, and the
entire Rocky Mountain Front lifted
into existence.
While Russell Country is home
to 21st-century trappings like
Montana’s largest wind farm, even
everyday interactions here are
tinged with a sort of oldfashioned charm. Chatting with the guy at the
next ice-fishing hole,
swapping field notes
with fellow birders
and running into
skinny-skiers on the
trails, you’ll find
folks warmly welcoming and unpretentious, much like the
hotels, cafes,

world...maybe
because you

Missouri River Country
by Rick and Susie Graetz
Following Hwy 87 north from
Fort Benton through Havre to
Canada, one travels the western
boundary of what is perhaps the
most magnificent prairie country
in the nation. The US Canadian line,
the 49th parallel of latitude, defines
this wondrous territory on the
north.The southern demarcation is
a bit jagged; staying on the southern fringe of the Missouri River
Breaks to US Hwy 91, it then
abruptly points south a bit before
turning east to trace the Lonesome
Highway 200 to North Dakota
which delineates the eastern
boundary.
A distinct region unto itself, this
place of the Great Plains harbors
unique landforms. Grand scenes
intermingle with smaller bits of
geologic wonder. Space, much of it
undisturbed, is its greatest commodity and an unending sky delivers a feeling of no borders or confinement where a human can
stretch and breathe.
In both its liquid and frozen
form, water shaped the physical
geography in this territory. Ice
sheets advancing out of Canada
slid into northern Montana from
the east edge of the Blackfeet
Reservation by Glacier National
Park, across to North Dakota. These
natural bulldozers gouged and
scraped the land, carrying and
pushing rocks and soils. They “bor-

To experience a powwow or a

cities.There are also regional flights
into Miles City and Glendive.
Once you are here, remember
to give horseback riders on the
road plenty of clearance, and drive
around them very slowly. If you
encounter a cattle drive crossing
the road, wait for signals from the
cattlemen that it’s safe to move
through.
WHAT TO PACK
If you’re heading to a cattle
drive or working ranch, absolutely
bring your cowboy boots! You’ll
soon discover just
how
functional
they really are. For
general trompingabout, you’ll want
a good pair of tennis shoes or hiking
boots and a few
layers, especially a
wind-resistant
one.
In the winter,
gloves, hat, a warm
parka and snow
boots will most
likely come in
handy.
Dress is casual here, and you’d
be hard-pressed to tell a ranching
baron from a farmhand on clothes
alone. Blue jeans, sweatshirts and
ball caps are the norm.
PHOTOGRAPHING NATIVE
AMERICAN CEREMONIES
Powwows and dances have
deep religious significance and
typically do not allow flash photography. Be sure to have asked
permission before snapping photos at Native American ceremonies.

Food runs the gamut in southeast Montana, from great Asian
picks in Billings to gourmet, locally
grown fare found in unlikely little
ranching towns. Expect “homestyle
prairie food”—beef, steaks and
potatoes. Soak up the town’s character and meet friendly locals by
figuring out where the locals eat in many small towns, the best
restaurant or longest-standing bar
serves as an informal community
gathering spot.

but we would be remiss if we didn’t
encourage you to sample southeast Montana’s authentic Western
bars and microbreweries.

Custer County
Nowhere does cowboy culture
and American Indian lore live on
like it does in Custer County. Largely ranch land and Native American
reservation land, southeast Montana’s dust rises for real-life cattle
drives and rodeos, wild horse stampedes and powwows. While Montana’s biggest city, Billings, may
lar (complete with William Clark’s
signature) and the Swiss-cheese
sandstone structures of Medicine
Rocks State Park. Between cattle
drives and dude ranches, snowshoeing trips and the Crow Fair
and Rodeo, Custer Country is
where the landscape, the history
and the laid back way of life join
think of itself as the cosmopolitan
exception, out-of-staters will
delight in its cowboyish charm—
bolo ties on for big occasions, and
game trophies in the steakhouses
and bars that haven’t changed
since 1902.
You don’t need to be a local or
even know about the history here
to sense ancestors battling at the
Little Bighorn Battlefield or feel the
sacredness of Paleo-Indian pictographs at Pictograph Cave State
Park, five miles from Billings. You
don’t have to be a cowboy to thrill
together to make a memorable
Montana experience.

Yellowstone Country
Billed as “America’s First Playground,” Yellowstone Country is a
study in appealing contrasts. One
minute, you’re sampling Montana’s
legendary “cold smoke” powder, the
next, soaking toastily, neck-deep in
a mineral hot spring. Breakfast
might be home-cooked and served
in a stockyard shack; dinner,
gourmet sushi. Here, rugged peaks
open to prairies, ski bums and
ranchers rub shoulders with creative professionals and college kids,
and you’re just as likely to spot a
grizzly or a wolf as a progressive art
gallery.
As for the region’s namesake,
Yellowstone National Park proves
no exception to the rule of
extremes. Claiming nearly half of
the world’s geysers, America’s first
national park showcases tumbling
waterfalls, calm forest valleys, roaring earth and intricate geothermal
formations. This corner of Montana
opens the door to Yellowstone in
winter—a rare, otherworldly experience when bison wear frosted fur
and geysers steam through a fresh
blanket of white.
True to its contradictory charms,
Yellowstone Country can be a plush
safari or a dirt bagger’s paradise, all
while living up to its “America’s First
Playground” moniker. With luxuri-
ous mountain lodges and bare
bones Forest Service cabins, dude
ranches and day spas, world-class
skiing and self-guided hikes,Yellowstone Country offers an exhilarating
taste of nearly every extreme.

Madison Buffalo Jump State Park
Situated on the edge of a broad valley
carved by the Madison River, this high limestone cliff was used for 2,000 years (as recent as
200 years ago) by Native Americans. It enabled
them to stampede herds of bison in vast numbers off this massive semicircular cliff, utilizing
them for food, clothing, shelter and provisions.
The 'runners' were highly skilled young men
trained for speed and endurance and wearing
buffalo, antelope or wolf skins, lured the bison
to the 'pishkun' or cliff. This was their only
means for survival. Although the introduction
of horses led to the abandonment of this jump
sometime after 1700, the rugged outcropping
now serves as an inspiring monument to the
region's early inhabitants. The park encloses all
the main geographical features of a jump site
and several formations remain to provide visitors with a glimpse of the cultures, which utilized this method of hunting. Tons of bones still
lie buried at the cliff's base, while archaeologists
have located the tepee rings of an extensive vil-
lage. With a little imagination it is easy to visualize the awesome events which occurred here
during a drive, the thunderous roar of the stampede, the dramatic sight of the fall, and the frenzy of activity which followed.
At Madison Buffalo Jump State Park, short
walks provide unique insights into Native
American culture as well as inspiring views of
the valley below. Primitive park designation. The
day use fee is $5 per vehicle.
