The papers based on the original work, case studies, critical survey and
observations reporting the “Innovation and Emerging trends in Engineering
& Technology” are invited for consideration for presentation in “Annual
Technical Paper Meet” and for publication in “38th Annual Technical Journal
(ISBN-978-81-924990-2-4)” of Pune Local Centre.
The papers will be grouped in the following sections:Section I : Civil, Environmental, Architecture & Agriculture Engg
Section II : Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, Marine & Aerospace Engg
Section III : Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication & Computer Engg
Section IV : Chemical, Textile & Mining Engg

Pune Local Centre was established on 29 November 1958 - first local
centre established by the Council of IE (I). Over the years, Pune has
justified the faith reposed by the Council and has become major, active,
efficient & popular Centre of the IEI.
Pune's rich heritage on historical, social, educational, industrial &
cultural fronts gives an insight into the growth of the region and
indirectly into that of Pune Local Centre. Presently, Pune Local Centre
has on its roll around 18,000 members including 4500 corporate
members.
The efficient functioning of the Centre is a result of excellent team work,
congenial working environment, efficient infrastructure and the
participation of large number of young engineers. Because of this unique
structure, innovative activities and professional approach, the Centre
has not only won “The Best Local Centre Award” eight times in last
Twelve years and thrice in consecutive years amongst 105 local/state
Centres on all India basis but also set a new role model for the Institution.
The Institution of Engineers (India), Pune local centre is pleased to
communicate that “Annual Technical Paper Meet” and publication of
“Annual Technical Journal”. This year Annual Technical Paper Meet
will be held in the month of October 2014 and the 38th volume of the
Annual Technical Journal will be published in the month of November
2014, which will include papers selected from the Annual Technical
Paper Meet. The Paper Meet and Journal will provide an opportunity to
researchers, academicians, professional engineers and consultants to
publish their work, report their findings & observations and interact
with the experts from academia and industry.
The papers received on or before last date and in the prescribe format will only be
considered by the technical committee for presentation and publication.
Prizes will be given for different groups on the recommendations of judges.
The papers will be judged on the basis of contents of the paper and presentation in
the Annual Paper Meet. Prizes will be given during the Foundation day function
scheduled on 29th November 2014.
The paper should be in the prescribed format available on
www.engineerspune.org and should not exceed six printed pages. The
paper should contain (i) Abstract, (ii) Introduction, (iii) main text
(iv) conclusion (v) references
Papers not in the prescribed format will not be considered for
publication and prizes. The papers presented in Annual Paper Meet
scheduled in October 2014 will only be considered for publication in the
Journal on the recommendations of the judges.
