attend a community consultation meeting being held on:

YEAR 9 AND 10 FEMALE DAY STUDENTS 2015
At the August meeting of the Board it was agreed that a minimum number of
Year 9 and 10 female students would be required to make classes viable.
The number agreed was 10 female students at either level.
I advise that applications have been received and provisionally accepted until the
1st of November when a final decision will be made .
I encourage families and friends to get the enrolment applications for their Year
9 and 10 daughters in as soon as possible. .

CELLPHONES
Cellphones may not be used during
teaching time and the College will not take
responsibility for any misuse, damage or
loss of a cellphone.
CLOTHING
Please ensure all items of clothing are named and your
student has a full set of the number one uniform, and
for boys their white shirts are able to be buttoned up
at the neck and their ties are the right size.
MEDICATION
Please ensure all medication is handed into the Matrons
on arrival with instructions for its use.
TERM 4 JUNIOR EXEAT
Term 4 exeat is scheduled for Monday 10 November
2014. This means students may leave after Senior Prize
Giving Saturday 8 November 2014.
Boarders return by 5pm on Monday 10 November to
commence school Tuesday 11 November 2014.
Day students sign in by 8.20am Tuesday 11 November.
SENIOR LEAVER’S DINNER AND SENIOR / JUNIOR PRIZE GIVING

Venue: Te Whare Rourounui / Dining Room
Parents, caregivers and guardians of senior students are cordially invited to attend Leaver’s
Dinner.
Leavers Dinner is preceded by a Chapel Service which you are also invited to.
The Chapel Service will begin at 6pm.
SENIOR PRIZE GIVING:
Date: Saturday 8 November 2014
Time: 1:30pm.
Venue: Te Whare Angitu / Recreation Centre
Parents, caregivers and guardians are cordially invited to attend Senior Prize Giving.
Prize Giving is preceded by a Powhiri which you are also invited to at the Whare Runanga commencing at 11am.
Junior Exeat begins after Prize Giving.

2015 RETURNING SLIPS REMINDER
Applications have already been received and interviews are in progress for
parents / guardians of students seeking enrolment at Wesley College in 2015.
Returning slips were included with the August Principal’s Newsletter.
An indication of whether your son / daughter are returning in 2015 would be
appreciated so that decisions can be made as to how many new students to accept.
Please complete and return the form to the College Office by 13 October 2014 to
secure a place for your son / daughter for 2015.

Congratulations to the following sports teams who represented Wesley

Girls basketball won the Counties Manukau competition

Netball placed 7th overall

U15 Rugby placed 9th overall at the National Tournament

Rugby League 1st XIII placed 2nd in the National Secondary Schools
Tournament
Rugby 1st XV, 3rd XV, Development XV, U15 White and U14 Black rugby all won their Championship
final.

