Uniting Northglenn Together Against Graffiti Dear Property Owner or Agent, The City of Northglenn Neighborhood Services Division is implementing a program called U.N.T.A.G. to assist residents with meeting the obligation to remove graffiti from their private property. Only residential and commercial fences, retaining walls, garages, and sheds that are visible from streets, alleys, parks, and trails are eligible for this program. If your property is eligible, the City will attempt to remove the graffiti at no direct cost to you as the owner. Because your property has been vandalized by graffiti, either currently or in the past, we are contacting you with this program information. The City must have a waiver signed by the property owner or agent on file before any removal efforts will be undertaken. The City makes no guarantee that all graffiti will be removed, nor does it promise to match specific paint colors on your property. The property owner remains responsible for removal of graffiti from surfaces which are not within the parameters of the City’s program and/or any graffiti that remains after the City’s attempt at removal. If you would like the City to include your property in this program to have graffiti removed free of charge from the surface(s) mentioned above, please complete the “Authorization to Enter and Remove Graffiti Waiver and Indemn~fication” form that on the reverse side of this letter. Then call the graffiti hot-line at 303-252-3849 to have the form picked up and added to our program file. You can also drop off the form at the address listed below*. You may choose to authorize the removal of the graffiti which is present at the time you sign this form, or you may authorize the City to remove graffiti from your property any time, now and in the future, until you direct otherwise in writing, or the City changes or eliminates the removal program. At no cost to me, I authorize the City to enter for the one time removal of graffiti from my property based on the conditions below for the graffiti present on the date listed. I will remove the graffiti from my property within 48 hours of the date this letter was issued. I agree that the City of Northglenn, either its employees or contractors, may enter upon my property to remove the graffiti without ANY cost to me. The City or it’s contractors will determine the method to attempt to remove the graffiti at the discretion of the City. I understand that the City or it’s contractors do not guarantee the structural or aesthetic soundness of the areas from which graffiti will be removed and that even in the exercise of due care, damage or injury to property may result. I fUlly release the City, its employees and contractors from all claims, actions, or demands for damage of whatever nature to my property in connection with or by reason of the graffiti removal. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City, its employees and contractors from all liability claims, including defense costs and legal fees, of any nature whatsoever arising from or connected with the graffiti removal.
