W H AT ’ S O N SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2014 Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa lights up in pink J umeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait’s idyllic resort, will be glowing with pink lights during the entire month of October as it lends a helping hand in the worldwide Breast Cancer Awareness month campaign. For 31 days starting from October 1, the hotel’s entrance, lobby, palm trees, and beach will be filled with pink lights. This will be further complemented by pink flower arrangements across the hotel’s lobby, rooms, restaurants, cafés and lounges. The hotel’s colleagues will be wearing the symbolic Breast Cancer Awareness pins throughout the whole month. “Breast cancer awareness campaigns are very effective in increasing awareness on early diagnoses of the disease” said Hakan Petek, General Manager. He added “At Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, we feel responsible to actively participate in such a noble and worthy cause and be of assistance to the community here in Kuwait in helping raise awareness about breast cancer.” To further mark this occasion, Talise Spa has tailored the “Pretty in Pink” package, a special 55-minute spa experience. The package includes a 25minute back, neck and shoulder massage followed by a 25-minute Express Facial treatment. In addition, spa guests availing of this package will be entitled to use the Spa exclusive facilities for the entire day and will also receive a special spa gift. Previously, Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa supported the World Autism Awareness Day and lighted up the property in blue. It also dimmed and switched off unnecessary lights and lit candles throughout the hotel for an hour in solidarity with the annual Earth Hour campaign. National Guard holds special Eid celebrations T he National Guard Officers club recently organized special celebrations for the Eid Al-Adha vacations where officers and their families enjoyed special recreational activities and the fine weather at the club’s beach in Fintas. The ceremonies were attended by NG’s Moral Guidance manager and the club’s chairman of board brigadier, Mohammed Al-Farhan and the club’s manager colonel, Abdul Kareem Yousif Al-Omran.
